WEMADE has unveiled a new playable class for the global version of NIGHT CROWS, offering players another combat option ahead of the game’s second anniversary. The update introduces the Cannon, a ranged, physical-damage class designed around battlefield control and situational tactics.

According to WEMADE, the Cannon is built to pressure enemies from a distance while influencing how fights unfold, particularly in large-scale encounters. The class focuses on three primary combat approaches: long-range suppression to control space, area bombardment to damage clustered opponents, and status effect-based attacks that weaken or limit enemy actions. These elements position the Cannon as a tactical alternative to more traditional damage-focused ranged classes.

One of the Cannon’s defining mechanics is “Tactical Variation” mode, which allows players to adjust the class’s performance depending on the situation. Through this system, players can select additional effects that modify how the class operates in combat. Available options include boosts to status effect application rates, extended attack range, and increased bonus damage in PvE content, enabling the Cannon to adapt to both group-based and solo activities.

The class’s signature skill, “Erasure of Origin,” highlights its emphasis on control. The ability deals damage within a targeted area while activating a special state called “Gravity Field.” When triggered, Gravity Field restricts enemy movement and has a chance to fully drain opponents’ MP, temporarily disabling recovery. Unlike more common stagger or slow effects, the Gravity Field state can completely immobilize targets, making it particularly impactful during large-scale battles and coordinated engagements.

The Cannon class was revealed on Jan. 12 for the global version of NIGHT CROWS, the MMORPG published by WEMADE and developed by MADNGINE. The game originally launched globally on March 12, 2024, and is approaching its second anniversary in March 2026.

To mark the milestone, WEMADE plans to release a series of major content updates and in-game events. The publisher also announced that pre-registration for the second anniversary event will begin toward the end of February.
