When he became a free agent,Gumayusi released a video in which he shared in detail his thoughts and the background behind his decision to move on. He emphasized that his goal, from the moment he began his career as a pro player, had always been to become the best in the world. As a member of T1, he highlighted that he had achieved an undefeated championship run, a World Championship (Worlds) title, and a Worlds Finals MVP award, contributing to the restoration of T1’s championship dynasty.

At the time, he said, “I played for T1 because I believed that the best player belongs on T1,” but added, “Now I’ve proven myself, and I believe I’m the best AD carry in the world.” He acknowledged the regret and pressure that come with leaving a familiar environment, but defined this step as “a new journey of proving myself,” expressing his determination not to stop, for the sake of his fans.
