NC has released detailed information regarding the major update for 'THRONE AND LIBERTY (TL)' titled 'Frozen Boundary: Nyx.'

Starting the 23rd, 'TL' players can enjoy a variety of new content, including the new territory 'Nyx,' the melee weapon 'Gauntlet,' and the inter-server PVP battlefield 'Remnants of Nyx.' NC will be rolling out a dedicated brand webpage and video content highlighting key update information.

'Nyx' is a land of snow and ice battered by fierce blizzards, an uncharted region that neither the Resistance nor the Arkeum Legion has managed to penetrate. It is also the largest region in 'TL.' Here, players can explore the 'Boundary District,' the only neutral zone, and utilize 'Aetherion,' a flight device that uses floating stones to traverse dimensions.

Additionally, players can use 'Sky Wedge,' a magic-based high-speed descent device, to glide quickly across vertical terrain, or board the artificial galaxy 'Mirinae' to travel along designated paths without consuming stamina. With this update, the character level limit will increase from 55 to 60.

PvE content is also being significantly expanded. Two new heroic co-op dungeons, 'Cradle of Iron Tomb' and 'Frost Breath Cave,' will be added, along with over 20 field events and the solo dungeon 'Tumgir Ruins.' The powerful Arc Boss 'Dragon Knight Ramus' is scheduled to appear in July, followed by the Terra Boss 'Vegamont' in August.

The new 'Gauntlet' weapon system is a hybrid melee weapon that combines heavy impact with crowd control capabilities. It features the ability to switch between 'Gauntlet Mode,' which is specialized for defense, and 'Blood-Feast Mode,' which focuses on offense, allowing players to flexibly perform both tank and damage dealer roles.

The newly introduced inter-server PVP battlefield, 'Remnants of Nyx,' maximizes the fun of small-scale combat. Unlike existing battlefields that focused on guild-level competition, this mode allows participation by small elite parties of one to four players. Players must secure 'Red Frost' items within the battlefield and escape safely, then purify them at the 'Sanctuary of Purification' to earn various in-game rewards.

'TL' is also implementing a comprehensive overhaul of its item system. The complex grade structure will be unified, and an 'Item Level' system will be introduced to intuitively display the inherent performance of equipment. Consequently, the progression mechanism is shifting from an 'enhancement'-centered structure to an 'acquisition'-based one, reinforcing the core fun of farming.

Media content covering the update is also available. 'PD Talk,' featuring FirstSpark Games PD Park Gun-soo explaining the details, was released on the 17th at 8:00 PM. A story promotional video detailing the lore and a dedicated 'Gauntlet' video will also be unveiled sequentially.
