In the match between Hanwha Life Esports and BNK FEARX during the first round of the 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) regular season, held at LoL PARK in Jongno on the 10th, Hanwha Life Esports secured a 2-1 victory. Although they dropped the second set, they clearly demonstrated a difference in caliber in the first and third sets they won.

In the first set, BNK FEARX got off to a promising start as 'Raptor' Jeon Eo-jin's Jarvan IV teamed up with 'Kellin' Kim Hyeong-gyu's Rell and 'VicLa' Lee Dae-kwang's Ryze to secure two kills. However, 'Delight' Yu Hwan-jung's Pyke broke their momentum by roaming to the top lane and setting up a kill for 'Zeus' Choi Woo-je's Jayce. Furthermore, 'Kanavi' Seo Jin-hyeok's Xin Zhao, equipped with Titanic Hydra, exerted significant pressure in skirmishes, allowing Hanwha Life to rack up multiple kills.

To make matters worse for BNK FEARX, 'Zeus' secured a solo kill in the side lane. Pushed into a defensive position, BNK FEARX turned their attention to the Rift Herald, but Hanwha Life was not about to let them take it. By stealing the Herald and winning the ensuing teamfight decisively, Hanwha Life widened the gap in an instant. The second set was much more intense. As Hanwha Life held the lead, BNK FEARX repeatedly showed strong counterattacks to stay in the hunt. 'VicLa's Hwei secured the team's first major highlight by solo-killing 'Zeka' Kim Geon-woo's Annie, and 'Kellin' Kim Hyeong-gyu's Neeko led the team to victory by dismantling the enemy formation with a perfect ultimate during the third dragon teamfight.

Around the 22-minute mark, the Cloud Soul appeared for BNK FEARX. Although Hanwha Life stole the dragon, 'Diable' Nam Dae-geun's Ezreal and 'Clear' Song Hyeon-min's Renekton survived the ensuing skirmish to secure an ace. Having turned the global gold lead in their favor, BNK FEARX caught out 'Delight's Bard, pressured Baron, and wiped out the remaining Hanwha Life defenders. With that, BNK FEARX solidified their advantage and took the second set.

In the decisive third set, BNK FEARX drew first blood, catching 'Gumayusi' Lee Min-hyeong's Xayah in the bottom lane with the help of 'Raptor's Naafiri. Hanwha Life's bottom lane struck back, however, properly punishing Naafiri's second dive to create a 2-1 kill trade. But BNK FEARX regained the flow as 'Clear' secured a solo kill on Aurora while simultaneously picking up kills in a skirmish in the lower part of the map.

Around the 13-minute mark, Hanwha Life chased down a slightly overextended Naafiri, turning the situation into a full-blown teamfight. BNK FEARX's positioning split during the retreat, providing an opening for Hanwha Life. After a relentless pursuit, Hanwha Life secured an ace, completely shifting the atmosphere. Following a victory in the third dragon teamfight, Hanwha Life pulled ahead by over 6,000 gold, snowballed rapidly, and put an end to the match in the 23rd minute.
