South Korean developer WEMADE has launched its new fantasy MMORPG Legend of YMIR worldwide, expanding the game to PC and mobile players following its domestic debut. The global release includes both a traditional “Web2” version and a blockchain-enabled “Web3” version through the company’s WEMIX PLAY platform.

Built with Unreal Engine 5, Legend of YMIR draws on Norse mythology for its setting and narrative. Five playable classes — Berserker, Warlord, Skald, Völva and Archer — offer distinct combat styles, with an emphasis on manual control and timing-based battles. Auto-combat is included as an optional convenience feature, but WEMADE says player skill remains central to progression and PvP encounters.

The game supports multiple languages at launch, including English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Portuguese, Russian and Thai. Regional servers across Asia, North America/Europe (NAEU) and South America are available, and players can access their account across PC and mobile platforms.

With the long-term slogan “Share the Loot, Share the Glory,” WEMADE is introducing a system designed to give players more influence over their in-game communities. Through the new Partner’s Server feature, server operation rights are auctioned to player groups, who can then run community events and share generated revenue. Content creators will also have access to dedicated Streamer Partner’s Servers and a management program called SSS (Streamer Supporting System), which provides tools and resources for hosting events.

Large-scale server-versus-server battles will take place every two weeks, with top performers earning placement in the YMIR Cup, an international esports tournament planned for early 2026 in Hong Kong. The game also incorporates Play-and-Earn mechanics through WEMIX tokens, with rewards tied to in-game achievements and competitive performance.

To mark the launch, WEMADE is hosting several promotional events. These include a two-week Lucky Totem event offering players a chance to win prizes through gameplay, an airdrop distributing NFT in-game items to WEMIX PLAY members, and milestone-based challenges that provide high-tier rewards.
