According to a report from 1pv.fr, FunPlus Phoenix is set to enter CS:GO, and the new team owned league FLASHPOINT, by acquiring the roster of Heroic.

Currently, the Heroic roster consists of Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer, Casper "cadiaN" Møller, Patrick "es3tag" Hansen, Martin "stavn" Lund, and Johannes "b0RUP" Borup. They were set to take on the ESL Pro League in Group B, but should this move go through, ESL would have to either find a replacement or play a group with five teams.

FLASHPOINT is set to kick off later this week but has been having trouble finding teams to join it’s founding ten. Envy is the latest founding team that has paid the $2 million buy-in to the team owned league, but with only days till the league kicks off, there are still three teams left to be announced.

A report from DBLTAP suggests that the identities of the other two teams are Chaos and HAVU (invited after losing the qualifier, but without buying in,) but have yet to be officially revealed. BIG and Orgless have joined FLASHPOINT 1 as open qualifier teams. The other founding teams include Gen. G Esports, Cloud9, mibr, Dignitas, c0ntact Gaming, and MAD Lions.

FunPlus Phoenix are the current defending champions in League of Legends after they took home Worlds over G2 Esports. They were only founded in 2017, and also field rosters in PUBG and Fortnite.

Inven Global has reached out to FLASHPOINT, Heroic, and FunPlus Phoenix for a comment on this report.
