Netflix announced today (the 4th) that the 2nd Stage of 'Steel Ball Run: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure' will be released every Friday starting September 25.

'Steel Ball Run: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure' is the seventh part of Hirohiko Araki's long-running manga series, 'JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.' The story follows Johnny Joestar, a protagonist paralyzed from the waist down after a tragic accident, who meets Gyro Zeppeli, an eccentric man capable of using a mysterious rotation that even defies the laws of physics. To uncover the secret behind this power, Johnny joins the Steel Ball Run, a race that spans the entire American continent.

In the original work, the Steel Ball Run race consists of nine stages, starting in San Diego and passing through the Arizona desert, the Rocky Mountains, the plains of Kansas City, Chicago, and Lake Michigan before reaching New York. Following this structure, the 1st Stage, which covered the start of the race and the San Diego leg, was released on March 19. The 1st Stage was well-received by fans for its faithful recreation of the original art style, dynamic depiction of intense horse racing, and the fluid animation of Gyro Zeppeli's rotation. Notably, this anime adaptation also features official Korean dubbing, which became a hot topic in the community as fans were finally able to hear iconic lines from Johnny Joestar—often used as memes—in Korean.

Starting September 25, a total of 11 episodes will be released weekly, covering the 2nd Stage (the Arizona desert race) and the 3rd Stage (the Rocky Mountains race). As participants are murdered one after another during the race, Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli find themselves in danger as they enter a region the indigenous people fear and call the 'Devil's Palm.' Amidst these events, Johnny awakens his 'Stand' through a combination of Gyro's hints and sheer coincidence. Meanwhile, the appearance of the President during the 2nd Stage hints that the Steel Ball Run is far more than a simple race.

'JoJo's Bizarre Adventure' is a series that Hirohiko Araki has been serializing since 1986. While each part features different protagonists, eras, and circumstances, the stories center on a 'JoJo' who stands on the side of justice. The series is credited with laying the foundation for supernatural battle manga and has long been praised for its unique, high-impact art style and intense dialogue. Currently, the 9th part, 'The JOJOLands,' is being serialized, and the series has been adapted into numerous games. In 2022, the fighting game 'JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R,' featuring characters from all eight parts, was released.

The 2nd and 3rd Stages of 'Steel Ball Run: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure' will be released over 11 weeks starting September 25, with information on future stages to be announced via the Netflix YouTube channel.
