HoYoverse announced on the 26th that it has released the Version 8.9 update, 'Salvation of Falling Feathers,' for the action RPG 'Honkai Impact 3rd.'

This update introduces Seele's new S-rank battlesuit, 'Feather of Healing.' Alongside it, the version-themed event 'Extreme Speed: Delivery Rider' and Chapter 13 of the main story Part 2, 'Curtsey of a Single Rose,' have been unveiled.

'Feather of Healing' is a Star-type character that deals Lightning elemental damage to enemies. Holding the attack button triggers the combo attack 'Wulak,' which summons a magic circle to strike foes.

Landing the fourth hit of the basic attack grants the 'Feather's Embrace' state. In this state, the next combo attack is enhanced, restoring additional KP and applying a paralysis gauge to enemies. Using the ultimate skill releases the power stored in the staff to attack, granting invincibility for the duration and triggering a Time-frozen Domain effect.

During the Version 8.9 period, players can obtain the character card and fragments through the 'Feather of Healing' character supply.

The version-themed event 'Extreme Speed: Delivery Rider' features side-scrolling combat. Players must directly control characters to defeat enemies and clear stages. Melee characters automatically slash nearby enemies, while ranged characters can adjust their trajectory to attack enemies from multiple directions.

Event participation rewards include Feather of Healing Wish Medals, Crystals, and Source Prisms. Players can also obtain the new 'Absolute Contract' costume for 'Joyous/Mad Banquet.'

Chapter 13 of the main story Part 2, 'Curtsey of a Single Rose,' explores the history of the Fall and Senadina's past. New Sena enters a wager over the 'God's Undertaker' with a mysterious woman who introduces herself as Purusha-Vita. The story continues toward the conclusion of the main story Part 2.

HoYoverse plans to release the final chapter of the main story Part 2 in Version 9.
