Niantic announced on the 12nd that it will host the Seoul on-site event for 'Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global,' the largest annual event for the real-world game 'Pokémon GO,' at Banpo Hangang Park.

'Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global,' taking place on July 11 and 12, is a global event accessible from anywhere in the country. The Seoul on-site event, in particular, will serve as a special venue where Trainers can gather, connect, and experience various content firsthand.

The venue will feature a community hub where Trainers can freely interact and enjoy the game, along with dedicated team lounges for the 'Instinct,' 'Mystic,' and 'Valor' teams to gather and connect.

A trading zone will also be available, allowing Trainers to freely exchange rare or region-exclusive Pokémon, alongside special on-site attractions such as photo zones and a giant Pikachu balloon.

The biggest highlight of this year's 'Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global' is the arrival of Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y in Pokémon GO; Trainers can encounter Mega Mewtwo X in Mega Raids on July 11 and Mega Mewtwo Y on July 12.

Additionally, during the event, players can choose between Mega Mewtwo X or Mega Mewtwo Y through branching Timed Research.

Beyond Mega Mewtwo, completing Special Research with Professor Willow will grant players the New Species Pokémon Zeraora. Other appearances include Pikachu wearing team-themed hats, as well as Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle wearing Pikachu visors.

Furthermore, throughout the event, Pokémon of 18 different types—including Fire, Ice, Psychic, and Dragon—will appear on a rotating hourly schedule, providing opportunities to encounter a wide variety of Pokémon.

This year's 'Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global' will be free for the first time. All Trainers who log in during the event period can enjoy rich benefits, including Special Research, at no additional cost.

Various bonuses will also be provided, including up to nine free Raid Passes per day, up to six Special Trades per day, a 50% reduction in Stardust costs for trades, and the ability to open up to 50 Gifts per day.
