New Content for Kamasylvia Part 1 coming to Black Desert Online

The long-awaited expansion is finally coming to Black Desert Online on Sept 27th.

The arrival of Kamasylvia Part 1 has been confirmed by the GM’s post on the official forum. Kamasylvia, the native land of the Ranger and the Dark Knight, is located in the South of Hexe Sanctuary and is about the size of Calpheon. Players will be able to explore the elven forests and discover the lore of the two classes along with the story of the legendary Kamasylve Tree. The expansion will be available without any additional charge, and will include new story quests, a new co-op mission called “The Altar of Training”, new high-level grind spots that require party play, and Arduanatt the Pegasus.

Celebrating the big update, events like “The Alchemist of Kamasylvia” and “Growth of a Kamasylve Tree” will also come to BDO after next week’s maintenance. The events will give players some useful in-game items.

The Kamasylvia Expansion has two parts. The official release date for Kamasylvia Part 2 has not been determined yet, although the GM’s post regarding Kamasylvia Part 1 says that Part 2 will be “arriving sooner than many of you expect.”

Kamasylvia Part 1 was updated in KR last December, so there is already plenty of information available for the expansion. Major grind spots in Kamasylvia are the Manshaum Forest, Navarn Steppe, and Mirumok Ruins. These spots are designed for level 58 or above players, and require some endgame gear. The Navarn Steppe is especially popular in KR, as the area is highly populated with “Feather Wolves” and players like to party up for exp.

The new expansion will also include various new items and gear. In KR, new Accessories such as Narc’s Earring and Gryphon’s Helmet, and the items needed to Awaken a Tier 8 Horse to Arduanatt were added along with the new region. Gryphon’s Hemlet is obtainable by chance from Gryphon, the boss monster in the Navarn Steppe.

The Altar of Training is a defense game where players have to defend a specific object from a horde of monsters. Level 58 or above players who have completed the “Ancient Mirumok Ruins” quest will be able to enter the Altar of Training. One of the items available at the Altar of Training is “Forest Fury.” Forest Fury is the core material in crafting higher-level crystals that were added in KR’s Kamasylvia Part 1 update. However, in the KR server, the new crystals and Forest Fury came out a few weeks after the initial update of Kamasylvia Part 1.
