The new hunter, Jung Ye-rim, is a fire-attribute Supporter designed to synergize with the first Buster, Liu Zhikang. She possesses the ability to boost Burst damage to support Stackers and Busters, and is characterized by her ability to create stable offensive conditions through healing and shields.
Jung Ye-rim also features a unique rotation: her ultimate skill must be used first to apply enhancement effects to her other skills. This differs from many characters who typically use their ultimate skill last before exiting or while channeling, often using it just before their final skill.

Jung Ye-rim: Basic Characteristics
Jung Ye-rim is a Supporter with highly intuitive skill effects. She provides Attack and damage buffs to allies while increasing stability with shields, and applies 'Burn' to enemies, allowing other fire-attribute hunters to stack effects and deal continuous damage.
Notably, her skills include specialized buff effects provided exclusively to fire-attribute Busters, in addition to general fire-attribute team buffs. Therefore, she performs best when paired with Liu Zhikang rather than with standard hunters.
Additionally, her E-skill grants a shield to allies while pulling enemies together, which increases stability and proves advantageous in time-attack content where rapid enemy elimination is required.
Another advantage is that her operation is very simple. There is no need to learn complex rotations; the structure simply involves using the ultimate skill, followed by her other skills, and then exiting. This is easy on both the mind and hands. However, the high evolution level required to fully utilize this is a drawback.

Ultimate, Skill, Exit! - Basic Operation
Operating Jung Ye-rim is extremely easy. After entering the stage, use the ultimate skill first, then use E and Q, and finally trigger a core attack before exiting. Her skill animations are very short and concise, helping to reduce the cycle time of fire-attribute parties where Stackers and Busters have long on-field times.
The order of skills doesn't matter much, but it is recommended to use E first because it provides a shield. If you use Q before E, you risk being knocked down and having your skill canceled if hit, leading to a loss of time. Use E first to secure the shield, then follow with Q.
A point of caution is that the ultimate skill must always be used first. As will be detailed in the evolution section, this is because using the ultimate skill transforms her common skills into enhanced versions, and you must be mindful of this to apply more powerful buffs.

Essentially 5 - Evolution Mandatory - Recommended Evolutions
At first glance, 1-Evolution seems mandatory because it significantly increases the variety of buffs. However, 5-Evolution is effectively essential due to buff duration and enhanced skill effects. Let's take a closer look.
At 1-Evolution, buffs are added to Q and the ultimate skill. At base level, Q is a simple damage-dealing skill, but after 1-Evolution, it adds the 'Token of Vow' buff, increasing fire-attribute damage and common skill damage for fire-attribute team members by 20%. Since all fire-attribute damage dealers—including Liu Zhikang, Fern, Kanae Tawata, and Yoo Soo-hyun—rely on common skills for damage, this has a significant impact even in content like Guild Boss battles where multiple damage dealers are deployed.
That's not all. The ultimate skill gains the 'Steadfast Oath' and 'Prayer of Holy Flame' buffs. 'Steadfast Oath' is provided to the Buster (currently Liu Zhikang), increasing ultimate skill damage and Burst damage. Additionally, 'Prayer of Holy Flame,' granted to the entire team, increases fire-attribute damage and Overload damage.
3-Evolution is simpler. It enhances the 'Prayer of Holy Flame' buff added to the ultimate skill at 1-Evolution. Not only does the buff amount increase, but the duration extends from 20 to 40 seconds, ensuring the buff remains active until Christopher Reid finishes stacking Overload and Liu Zhikang completes his damage dealing. Furthermore, it grants 100% power gauge recovery upon entering the stage, allowing for an immediate ultimate skill, and adds a shield and continuous healing to core attacks, greatly increasing party stability.

The long-awaited 5-Evolution is the core stage that drastically increases Jung Ye-rim's practical utility. While various buff effects are further strengthened, more important than the buff amount is the provision of power gauge recovery, ultimate skill cooldown reduction, and the extension of all buff durations to 40 seconds.
Excluding her healing ability 'Immaculate Cycle,' Jung Ye-rim has five types of buffs: Sanctuary's Protection, Divine Bond, Token of Vow, Steadfast Oath, and Prayer of Holy Flame. Before 5-Evolution, all buffs except for the duration-extended 'Prayer of Holy Flame' last only 20 seconds.
This creates a problem: the Overload party structure requires the Stacker to induce Overload just before the Buster enters to maximize damage. Consequently, the rotation is typically Supporter-Stacker-Buster, and if buff durations are short, the buffs expire while the Buster is dealing damage.
Because Jung Ye-rim uses her ultimate skill immediately upon entry rather than before exiting, she consumes her own buff duration. Combined with the fact that Christopher Reid's Overload induction is relatively slow among Stackers and Liu Zhikang has a very long deal time, the short buff duration becomes quite critical.
Therefore, a non-5-Evolution Jung Ye-rim requires a complex rotation—Supporter-Stacker-Supporter-Buster—similar to using Isla with Agnes Rivera before her buff. The problem is that even with this, Liu Zhikang's damage contribution is higher in the latter half of the cycle, making the missed Overload time very costly.
Ultimately, to solve these issues and properly support Liu Zhikang, it is best to invest in Jung Ye-rim up to 5-Evolution. Of course, this doesn't mean you should force it immediately. Even at 1-3 Evolution, she possesses various Overload-specialized buffs, and since the previous fire-attribute Supporter, Gina, didn't have long buff durations either, Jung Ye-rim is generally better. New players should acquire her, but avoid overextending and aim for 5-Evolution through custom pickups.

Use with Christopher and Liu Zhikang - Party
As a Supporter with buffs specialized for the Overload state, the best party combination is with Christopher Reid and Liu Zhikang. However, because her buff durations are long and her buff amounts are high even excluding Buster or Overload-specialized effects, she performs well even when paired with Strikers.
The previous Supporter, Gina, falls short compared to Jung Ye-rim in terms of buff amount and uptime. She retains a niche as a sub-supporter utilizing her unique effects like increasing damage taken by enemies and team-wide power gauge recovery. However, as strategies to replace Gina with other hunters in Guild Boss battles are currently being researched, Jung Ye-rim is effectively considered to have completely replaced the fire-attribute Supporter role.
