Pokémon Korea (CEO Lim Jae-beom) announced that it will launch a large-scale event, 'Pokémon Mega Festa 2026 in Busan,' starting on the 17th. The event is held in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Pokémon and is organized in collaboration with various Busan institutions, including the Busan Transportation Corporation, the Busan Bus Transportation Business Association, the Busan Facilities Corporation, BEXCO, and the Suyeong-gu Office.

Under the theme of 'Pokémon Relaxing Vacation,' 'Pokémon Mega Festa 2026 in Busan' will feature a variety of programs centered on the Pokémon Card Game across the city from the 17th to August 9th.

During the event, a photo zone featuring the event's key visuals will be set up at Busan Station Plaza, allowing visitors to take photos with various Pokémon. Additionally, a 'Pokémon Card Game Exhibition' and a 'Busan Subway Stamp Rally' will be held at five stations: #1 Busan Station, #2 Beomnaegol Station, #3 Jeonpo Station, #4 Gwangan Station, and #5 Centum City Station.

Participants can collect different themed stamps at each station and receive prizes such as a sun visor, a QR ticket holder, or a clear file depending on the number of stamps collected. Prizes can be claimed at the L-Arena Plaza on the 9th floor of Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch.

Special Pokémon-designed QR tickets (paid) will also be available at the participating stations. Pokémon-themed trains, decorated with day and night themes, will run on Subway Lines 1 and 2, and screen doors at five major subway stations will be decorated with Pokémon Card Game designs.

Furthermore, 'Pokémon School,' where participants can learn the Pokémon Card Game, will be held at Jeonpo, Gwangan, and Centum City stations, as well as at Starfield City Myeongji and Toys R Us Busan. Experience zones featuring minigames using the Pokémon Card Game will also be available at Jeonpo, Gwangan, and Centum City stations, and at Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch.

Pokémon-themed buses will operate on Busan city bus routes 100, 17, and 3, and special Pokémon photo zones will be set up at Myeongji Transfer Center, Olympic Intersection Transfer Center, and the National Maritime Museum bus stop in Yeongdo.

Additionally, a Pokémon drone show will take place at Gwangalli Beach on the 25th. The show will be held twice, at 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM, offering a spectacular and large-scale display against the night sky of Gwangalli Beach.

On August 1st, the 'Pokémon Card Game Battle Tournament' in partnership with the Busan Transportation Corporation will be held at Hall 2B of BEXCO Exhibition Center 1. Further details regarding 'Pokémon Mega Festa 2026 in Busan' can be found on the official Pokémon website and social media channels.
