On April 11, Pearl Abyss hosted 'Heidel Picnic - Shakatu PC Bang Edition,' an offline event for 'Black Desert Mobile' adventurers, at the Redforce PC Arena in Sinnonhyeon, Seoul. Up to 70 adventurers who have enjoyed the game in their own unique ways were invited to experience the revamped 'Black Desert Mobile' on a PC client.

'Heidel Picnic' is a small-scale, recurring event where Pearl Abyss invites its users. Along with the 'Calpheon Ball' and 'Heidel Ball'—the large-scale banquets held twice a year—it has become a staple opportunity for developers and adventurers to sit down and talk face-to-face. Another hallmark of the 'Heidel Picnic' is that each session features a new theme and accepts applications from adventurers.

The theme for this 'Shakatu PC Bang Edition' was, naturally, the PC client. On March 3, Pearl Abyss launched the first remaster update for Black Desert Mobile, which included the introduction of PC client support. This change was a direct response to long-standing requests from adventurers who wanted to enjoy the game on a larger screen and in a more stable environment, beyond the limitations of mobile devices. This picnic was designed to let adventurers try out the client firsthand at a PC bang.

The 'Heidel Picnic' event centered on various in-game activities that adventurers could enjoy using the PC client. A Q&A session with GMs was also included, providing a space for players to ask questions and share their feedback on game operations. During the event, which lasted until the evening, Black Desert merchandise and lucky draw prizes were provided for the attendees. Winners received items such as AirPods Pro 3, iPad mini (256GB), Black Desert-themed mice, and gift certificates.

The event brought together a diverse group of long-time Black Desert Mobile players. One adventurer even brought their own Xbox controller, which they usually use for gameplay. According to this player, they frequently used a controller even in the mobile environment, and with the official support for the PC client, they no longer need to rely on app players. However, they did note that some features still lack button mapping support, which is an area for improvement.

Adventurers who attended the event generally responded positively to the remaster of Black Desert Mobile. In particular, they noted that the characters are now more fun to customize and that they could feel the developers' affection for 'Black Desert Mobile' after eight years of service. Black Desert Mobile is scheduled to release its second remaster update this May. While the first update focused on visuals, the second update aims to further enhance content expansion and system refinement.

In addition to exchanging business cards, the 70 or so adventurers enjoyed a variety of events, including a Papu vs. Crio war, an OX quiz, and team battles, engaging in a fierce struggle(?) for prizes. Experiencing the remastered graphics on the PC client must have felt truly special.
