Still8, Griffin's Parent Company, Releases an Official Statement Regarding the Recent Controversy Surrounding Griffin's Operations.

On the 18th (KST), Still8, the parent company of Griffin, have released their official statement regarding the recent controversy surrounding Griffin. This statement came after Kim 'cvMax' Dae-ho's sudden departure from the team, and since then, revealed the shady aspects behind the team's operation on his personal stream.

Below is the full translation of the official statement made by Seo Kyung-jong, the CEO of Still8.

Hello, this is Seo Kyung-jong, the CEO of Still8.

First, I’d like to apologize to all the esports fans regarding the issues surrounding Griffin.

I’d like to further extend my sincerest apologies to all the Griffin fans, to Kim ‘cvMax’ Dae-ho, who must’ve been through so much hardship over the years, and to the players on Griffin, who are, even to this moment, preparing for their upcoming matches in the LoL World Championship.

Kim ‘cvMax’ Dae-ho is a coach whose contributions have been incredible to Griffin’s journey so far. To his incredible contribution, it is our shortcoming for being so ignorant to the issues behind the team’s operation. As the CEO of Still8, I recognize the solemness of the current situation.

Because of the outlash we’ve been getting from the community, we decided that we cannot push our statement back any longer. We will be undergoing an internal investigation to hold all personnel involved in this issue responsible, which may include the dismissal of Director Cho Gyu-nam.

However, currently, Griffin is participating in the biggest stage for a LoL pro gamer, the LoL World Championship. Although it may be incredibly disappointing and frustrating, I kindly ask for your patience, until they finish their tenure in the tournament. After Worlds, we will make sure to be as transparent and proactively communicative about this issue, until we make sure every one of our fans can understand this issue.

Currently, Riot Korea, China, and KeSPA are investigating the issue regarding Seo ‘Kanavi’ Jin-hyeok, and Still8 promises to fully cooperate with the investigation.

Again, my sincerest apologies to all those disappointed about this issue.
