Mangachu of XL2: "Roadhog sucks...I pray to God they revert it and buff him some sort of way."

Liam "Mangachu" Campbell plays for XL2 Academy, which is the academy team under New York Excelsior.  He also plays for Team Canada for the 2018 World Cup.  I asked him about his thoughts on Hammond and how the latest patch affects heroes like Roadhog.  He had strong words to say about the latter.

We also went over his thoughts about Team Brazil being a possible dark horse to the World Cup, his memories with TF2, and also found that he's not a weeb.

You recently tweeted a Hammond emoji.  Are there any additional thoughts you want to share on the hero?  Is he viable for Contenders and/or the World Cup?

Hammond is actually really fun, he is a very high skill ceiling hero that requires a lot of teamwork to work. I'm not the best at him but I don't much time on the hero so we'll see where things go.

How do you feel about the Roadhog bug fix/nerf to his right-click falloff damage in PTR?  Do you think Blizzard will revert it?  Will you still play Roadhog if they make it live?

Roadhog sucks, he was the worst tank in the game since Brigitte was released and they are only making him worse. I pray to God they revert it and buff him some sort of way.

What are your thoughts regarding the current patch?  Do you think it should be playable for the World Cup?  How do you feel about Coach Aero's statements on it?

Hammond isn't played enough to be too worried. Winston's 50 damage jump kinda upsets me though, while GOATS is an already great comp, dive just seems really busted with "two" genji dashes.

The Team Canada roster looks incredibly strong.  How confident are you regarding the Group Stage?  Any teams you've identified could be a dark horse?

I'm pretty confident and excited so its a good mix. I think our match vs Team USA will be one of the best the world cup has to offer.  Brazil could be the dark horse team.  I'm looking forward to playing them!

Do you still have fond memories of Team Fortress 2?  Is there a camaraderie among current OW pros who are former TF2 players?

There are a lot of aspects from TF2 that I miss and I'm thankful for the community and the game. I play DM or MGE every once in awhile. But I'm also pretty happy with where I am. I wouldn't say there's a group for TF2 players, but we're all pretty friendly with each other.

Just for fun.  What anime and/or manga titles are you currently seeing?   Who are your "waifus"?

I'm not a weeb, sorry.
