The new map, Sanhok, will be playable in PLAYERUNKNOWN’s BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG) starting on the 22nd of June (KST).

Sanhok is quite different from the original maps Erangel and Miramar; the size of the map is a small 4x4, and the playzone will shrink at much shorter intervals. The spawn rate of weapon parts and popular weapons like the M416, SCAR-L, Vector etc. is a lot higher so the players can concentrate more on fighting.

The new map will be on the live servers for PC starting on the 22nd of June. If Sanhok is added, there will be three maps to choose from in PUBG. As for the Xbox version, Sanhok will reportedly be updated during the summer, but details have yet been released.

Meanwhile, PUBG announced that they will add a snow map in the winter. They also spoke about adding a ballistic shield to the game; the ballistic shield will take up a weapon slot, and only SMGs, pistols, melee weapons, and throwables can be used while holding the shield. The ballistic shield will be added later this year.
