The digital price of Atlus's 'Metaphor: ReFantazio' is getting a massive 60% cut. Starting November 12, the price of the digital standard edition across all platforms will be adjusted from the previous 79,800 won to 32,000 won.
Sega announced via official social media that it will lower the price of all digital editions of Metaphor: ReFantazio starting November 12. The eligible platforms are Xbox, Steam, PS4, and PS5. This price cut is an official retail price revision rather than a limited-time discount, with the new selling price taking effect on November 12. Sega advised players to verify that the updated price has actually been applied on each platform's store before making a purchase.
The price reduction aligns with the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 version. Metaphor: ReFantazio will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 12, with the standard edition for that platform also set at 32,000 won. As a result, players will be able to purchase the game at the same price across both existing platforms and the Nintendo Switch 2.
Released in October 2024, Metaphor: ReFantazio is a fantasy RPG developed by Atlus, featuring key creators behind Persona 3, 4, and 5, including Katsura Hashino, Shigenori Soejima, and Shoji Meguro. Set in the United Kingdom of Euchronia, the game features the protagonist party's adventure as they join a contest for the throne, combat combining action and strategy, and a battle system utilizing Archetypes.
Following its release, the game won three awards at The Game Awards 2024, including Best RPG, and earned the Grand Prize at the Japan Game Awards 2025. It also received critical acclaim, achieving a Metacritic score of 94 based on the PS5 version.
Meanwhile, on the same day as the announcement, Atlus released a 120-second overview video for Metaphor: ReFantazio. The video highlights the game's world and characters, narrated by Misato Fukuen, the voice actress for Eupha.
