Webzen disclosed on November 6 its Q3 2026 financial results, reporting revenue of 36 billion won, an operating profit of 5.3 billion won, and a net profit of 5.2 billion won. Amid declining domestic and overseas sales due to a lack of new releases, the company plans to unveil new titles at G-STAR and continue preparations for launch.

Q3 revenue fell 17.8% year-over-year. Over the same period, operating profit and net profit decreased by 29.3% and 40.1%, respectively. Compared to the previous quarter (Q2 2026), revenue declined by 5.2%, operating profit by 4.7%, and net profit by 16.9%. Webzen attributed the drop in domestic and overseas revenue to the ongoing absence of new title launches.
The new titles will be revealed at G-STAR 2026 in November. Webzen will set up demo stations at its booth to showcase the command strategy RPG 'I Became the Tyrant of a Defense Game: LAST STAGE' (hereinafter TDG: LAST STAGE) to the public for the first time. The target launch window is the first half of 2027.
TDG: LAST STAGE is based on the Naver Webtoon IP 'I Became the Tyrant of a Defense Game'. It captures the atmosphere of the original work using Unreal Engine 5-based 3D graphics, applying a diorama pixel art technique to characters where movements and facial expressions are finished by hand, pixel by pixel. This method blends the sensibility of 2D pixel art with 3D spatial depth and direction to express character personality and three-dimensional spaces.
A teaser video for MU Theos, an MMORPG based on the MU IP, will also be revealed for the first time at this G-STAR. MU Theos focuses on continuing the series' hallmark fast character progression and growth while implementing enhanced growth content and competitive elements compared to previous titles. It recently completed internal benchmark testing (IBT) and is preparing for a target launch in 2027.
Development subsidiaries, including Webzen Krevix, are also working on new projects to secure IP influence and market share. Webzen Redstar is developing PROJECT G, an Unreal Engine 5-based MU IP game aimed at Western markets. Webzen plans to unveil business plans publicly in line with the completion level of each project.
Webzen CEO Taeyoung Kim stated, “We are making company-wide efforts to overcome the sluggish performance caused by delays in new game launches.” He added, “While focusing on development support for our development subsidiaries, we will continue to establish self-help measures to secure mid- to long-term growth, such as expanding overseas business models.”
