KRAFTON, Inc. has introduced collaboration content with K-pop girl group IVE through Update 44.1 for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. The update went live on PC on November 4 and will arrive on console on November 12.
The collaboration is built around IVE's hit song "LOVE DIVE." Three themed "IVE Spots" have been added across the Rondo map, featuring character likenesses of all six IVE members, member-specific outfits, accessories, and weapon and gear skins. The music video-inspired themed areas feature the IVE Mansion and a roulette wheel that functions as a jukebox to play IVE's music.
"IVE Emote Stages" appear on select starting islands across six maps: Rondo, Erangel, Miramar, Taego, Deston, and Vikendi. Performing emotes featuring IVE's songs and choreography on these stages displays the collaboration music video on PC and album artwork on console. Interactive elements featuring "Cupid's Crossbow" and "Cupid Chicken Man" have also been placed on starting islands.
Two high-difficulty PvE modes will also run sequentially. Based on the co-op PvE mode introduced in October, "HLB: Dawnbreakers of Rondo" runs from November 4 to 25 on PC and from November 12 to December 3 on console. Set in the original mode's final area of Jadena City, enhanced Special Hungers spawn at shorter intervals. The number of fuel cans required to start generators has increased, while the health of the capacitors players must protect has been reduced.
"Xeno Point: Hell," based on the PvE roguelite mode Xeno Point, will run on PC from November 18 to December 2 and on console from November 26 to December 10. Replacing the original three difficulty levels with a single "Hell" difficulty, it adds a fourth sector that is even harder than the previous highest stage. Up to four players can participate, with difficulty scaling based on party size. Completion times for the final boss stage are recorded on the leaderboard.
Ahead of the PUBG Global Championship (PGC), the top-tier international esports tournament for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, KRAFTON is also improving "PUBG Fantasy." The feature, which lets players draft virtual teams and manage tournament rosters, increases roster selection time and updates fantasy scores and team standings after every match. Features to check friend rankings and past roster histories will also be added.
Quality-of-life and spectator features have also been updated. The durability of select vehicles has been increased, and spectators can now view players' Blue Chip status, inventory, and weapon attachment info. Voice chat quality has been improved with background noise suppression, echo cancellation, and automatic volume adjustment.
