Gen.G was even stronger in Game 2. This time, Park 'Ruler' Jae-hyuk fully showed off his presence, driving the team to a Game 2 victory.
Gen.G's bottom duo kicked off Game 2 with an early duo kill, as if exacting revenge for the previous set. Lyon responded as 'Inspired' on Wukong ganked to take down Joo 'Duro' Min-gyu's Seraphine to equalize, but they suffered a major setback after losing heavily in the subsequent first Dragon skirmish. Gen.G secured the lead by taking two additional kills alongside Kim 'Canyon' Geon-bu's Dragon steal on Jarvan IV.
Jarvan IV's clean gank caught Kim 'Berserker' Min-cheol's Mel. A sharp 'Enchanted Crystal Arrow' from Park 'Ruler' Jae-hyuk's Ashe hit 'Dhokla''s Jayce for another kill, and subsequent intervention from Ashe handed Jayce his second death. Lyon attempted to create opportunities in the side lanes, but in the meantime, Ashe—who was pushing mid lane alone—won a 1v2 skirmish, pouring cold water on their efforts.
Afterward, Gen.G won fight after fight, rapidly rolling their snowball. Although Wukong put up a fight, including shutting down the well-fed Ashe, it was not enough to overcome the gap in growth. Pushing forward with the Baron buff, Gen.G caught out an overextended Jayce for a kill and destroyed the mid and top inhibitors. Ultimately, Gen.G scored a clean Ace in the final teamfight to take Game 2.
