Smilegate announced that the Knockout Stage of Epic Seven's Epic Seven World Championship 2026 (hereafter E7WC 2026) will begin on October 24. A total of 16 players will compete in this stage, which serves as the second round of the main tournament.
The Knockout Stage will run for about four weeks from October 24 to November 14, starting at noon every weekend. Like the Group Stage, it will use a double-elimination format to determine four finalists. The finals will take place on November 28 at the Lotte Cinema World Tower Super Plex in Jamsil.
The participating players consist of 14 players who advanced through the Group Stage over the past two weeks and 2 players who received seeds directly into the Knockout Stage. Hazamarei and MagicQi, who secured the seeds, finished as winner and runner-up, respectively, in the newly established online league Epic Seven Masters 2026 this year.
Epic Seven is a mobile turn-based strategic RPG developed by Super Creative. In E7WC 2026, the world's best player is determined through the real-time PvP (player vs. player) content 'World Arena'.
Previously, the Group Stage took place over a total of four days on October 10, 11, 17, and 18. Last tournament's winner XiaoXuenai lost to FN in the winners' match, but joined the Knockout Stage by winning the decider match. Omega utilized 'Salome,' who clones enemy heroes, to pull off a comeback victory from a disadvantageous position.
All matches will be broadcast live in four languages on the official Epic Seven YouTube channel, ChZZk, and global Twitch. Smilegate will host Drops events for viewers on ChZZk and global Twitch, and plans to reveal coupon codes during the live broadcasts. In-game, a match prediction event will be held where players can earn rewards by predicting match results.
