INTI CREATES, in collaboration with Cometsoft, officially released the Korean physical edition of Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced for Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22. It is the definitive collection containing all three entries in the Gunvolt series along with all DLC.
The included titles are Azure Striker Gunvolt, released in 2014; Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, released in 2016; and Azure Striker Gunvolt 3, released in 2022. Based on side-scrolling 2D action, the story unfolds through fully voiced dialogue during gameplay and over 37 songs sung by the 'Cyber Diva'.
This edition adds improved frame rates and 4K TV output support to the game of the same name released on July 24, 2025. A new scenario titled 'Azure Striker GUNVOLT GX' is also added. In this scenario, 'Copen', the protagonist of the spin-off Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2, fights alongside main series protagonist 'Gunvolt (GUNVOLT)'. The 'Inspiration' system, which utilizes new weapons and synergy between the two characters, will also be featured.
The series is set in a near future where people with special powers known as 'Septimas' have emerged. The first title follows 'Gunvolt', a member of the organization 'FEATHER', as he fights against the 'Sumeragi Group', which forcibly detains power-users and conducts human experiments on them. The second title depicts the story of 'Gunvolt' and 'Copen' taking on 'Eden', a multinational alliance of power-users. The third title features 'Gunvolt', who has awakened to the next stage, alongside 'Kirin', a priestess who seals his awakening.
The Korean physical edition has been released in Standard Edition and Limited Edition. It supports Korean subtitles and single-player local play. It is rated for ages 12 and up.
