G2 Esports and PUBG MOBILE have opened registration for the G2 x PUBG MOBILE: Community Challenge, a new amateur tournament for the mobile shooter that runs from October 24th to 25th 2026.
According to a release, the event is the latest activity from the ongoing partnership between G2 and PUBG MOBILE, which is aimed at growing the Western European esports scene. Sign-ups close at 11:59pm CEST on October 23rd (2:59pm PT). Teams enter through a submission form linked in the announcement.
Matches will be played on a custom PUBG MOBILE map inspired by Dust II, which the release calls ‘one of the most recognisable battlegrounds in esports’. Dust II is best known from Counter-Strike. The format borrows from that series too: 5v5 classic bomb-defusal, where one side tries to plant a bomb while the other defends the site (or defuses it in time).
That is a long way from PUBG MOBILE's usual battle royale mode, in which squads drop onto a large map and fight to be the last team standing. Here, it is five against five.
Format and who can enter
Up to 64 teams can take part. Two qualifiers, each with up to 32 teams, are set for October 24th; the top two teams from each qualifier move on to the finals on October 25th.
The release says participants must be over 16 years of age. Pro and semi-pro players can't enter. Neither can anyone who played in the Group Stage of the 2026 PUBG MOBILE Club Open (PMCO).
The release does not mention a prize pool.
