On Thursday, October 15, new Legendary Heroes Giyu Tomioka and Shinobu Kocho from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba were added to Seven Knights Re:BIRTH. Giyu is a Universal hero who protects Universal allies in the back row, while Shinobu is a Magic hero who utilizes Deadly Poison and Poison Stacks. Exclusive Equipment was also introduced, including Water Hashira Giyu Tomioka's Nichirin Sword and Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho's Nichirin Sword.
Universal Giyu and Magic Shinobu Added Back-Row Ally Protection and Deadly Poison Utilization Are Key
The core of Giyu's kit is his passive, Water Breathing. With Guard, he absorbs damage on behalf of back-row Universal allies, while using Pain Endurance to distribute a portion of direct damage exceeding a certain threshold over 5 turns. He also gains increased Block Rate proportional to his Defense and immunity to cooldown increases, while providing allies with Defense boosts, debuff cleanses based on hit count, and Awakening Gauge increases. Additionally, he reduces the Critical Rate of all enemies.
His basic attack attacks a single enemy and restores his own HP. Skill 1, Water Breathing, Seventh Form: Drop Ripple Thrust, attacks the 3 enemies with the highest Attack and lowers their Critical Rate. Skill 2, Water Breathing, Tenth Form: Constant Flux, deals piercing damage to all enemies, heals allies, and grants Damage Immunity to Universal allies. At Transcendence Level 2, a 100% Weakness Attack Rate is added to his basic attack and both skills, while at Transcendence Level 6, damage boosts stack whenever he attacks.
Shinobu possesses Camouflage and Revival through her passive, Insect Breathing. Every time she is hit 2 times by enemy attacks, she restores HP and gains Poison Stacks that increase Magic Attack. Whenever allies cast skills 2 times, she heals all allies and applies reduced healing received and Effect Resistance reduction to enemies. Upon death, she applies irremovable Deadly Poison twice to all enemies and regains Camouflage after reviving.
Her basic attack can inflict Deadly Poison on a single target. Skill 1, Insect Breathing, Dance of the Bee Sting: True Flutter, prioritizes poisoned enemies, and if the target is poisoned, inflicts Deadly Poison on up to 4 other enemies. Skill 2, Dance of the Dragonfly: Compound Eye Hexagon, targets a single front-row enemy first, applying Buff Block, 6 piercing hits, and Deadly Poison. At Transcendence Level 2, she gains a 100% Critical Rate increase, and at Transcendence Level 6, she gains 3 Poison Stacks plus an additional 3 Poison Stacks upon revival. One copy of Shinobu is given as the Day 1 reward for the Demon Slayer Corps Check-In Event Part 2, while Giyu can be obtained through the Demon Slayer Corps Growth Missions.
Awakening for Giyu and Shinobu Also Released Stats Enhanced via Slayer Mark, Additional Awakening Skill Effects via Poison Stacks
Awakened Giyu features higher damage on his basic attack and both skills, while his passive's ally Defense boost increases from 20% to 24%. Values such as healing amount and Critical Rate reduction, which were previously obtained through skill enhancement in his base state, are applied by default in his Awakened state.
His Awakening Skill, Water Breathing, Eleventh Form: Dead Calm, grants himself a Slayer Mark, attacks all enemies, and grants All Damage Immunity to Universal allies for 2 turns. The Slayer Mark effect increases Damage Dealt by 30% and Defense by 50% for 10 hits.
Awakened Shinobu gains 1 Poison Stack on basic attacks, and both of her skills gain an effect that increases damage proportional to the target's current HP by up to 50%. Her HP upon revival also increases from 80% to 100%. The piercing effect on Skill 1, which was obtainable through skill enhancement in her base state, is applied by default in her Awakened state.
Her Awakening Skill, Insect Breathing, Dance of the Centipede: Hundred-Legged Zigzag, deals piercing damage 3 times to all enemies, removes 2 buffs, and inflicts Deadly Poison equal to the number of removed buffs. At 4 or more Poison Stacks, Unhealable is added; at 5 or more stacks, Buff Block is added; and at 6 or more stacks, Instant Death is added. When enhanced, the skill's damage increases, and additional damage scaling based on the target's current HP is applied.
Second Half of Collaboration Event Dungeon Opened Infinity Trial Difficulty Eased
The second half of the Demon Slayer collaboration event dungeon has opened. It becomes available after clearing Adventure 2-5. In the second half, players collect Yushiro's Blood Demon Art Talismans to exchange for items in a dedicated shop. Entry tickets recharge by 5 every day up to a maximum of 5, and up to 5 additional tickets per day can be purchased for 100 Rubies each.
Deploying Giyu and Shinobu provides a bonus of 10 event currency each, while Pascal and Baek Gak grant 5 each. Two joint training stages in the second half do not require entry tickets and provide 250 currency once each. Additional currency can also be earned through missions involving dungeon participation, hero growth, and guild content.
In the second-half shop, the Exclusive Equipment for both heroes can be exchanged for 250 Talismans each. In addition, Namecards, Frames, Shining Skill Enhancement Stones, and Star Crystals are available. The new Exclusive Equipment can only be obtained through collaboration events and will not appear in Exclusive Equipment Summons. Furthermore, Exclusive Equipment can also be obtained from Giyu and Shinobu's Growth Missions, allowing players to acquire 2 of each through both events.
In Infinity Trial, stats and skill performance for certain monsters have been tuned down. In Real-Time Arena, point loss upon defeat for Master I–III ranks has been adjusted from a 50-point reduction to 40 points. For Diamond I, points earned upon victory increase from 50 to 100 points, while point loss upon defeat decreases from 50 to 30 points.
Shop product overhauls and the re-release of Sena Pass S2 were also conducted. The Growth Supply Package, which replaces the existing Growth Package, offers 600,000 Gold, 7 Topazes, and 2 Normal–High Hero Summon Tickets for 150 Rubies. Cumulative purchase rewards in the Daily Shop now feature Star Shards and Star Crystals; if players are currently in the middle of existing rewards, they will transition to the new lineup after claiming Day 7 rewards or when the reward period ends.
New Heroes Distributed via Check-In and Growth Missions Shinobu on Day 1 Check-In, Giyu via Point Milestone Reward
Part 2 of the Demon Slayer Corps Check-In Event runs for a total of 7 days. A 6-Star Shinobu is granted on Day 1, 20 Demon Slayer Summon Tickets on Day 2, and a Legendary Egg on the final day. The Demon Slayer Corps Growth Missions allow players to accumulate points through repeat battles, Raids, Arena, hero and equipment growth, and more. Reaching 2,500 points awards a 6-Star Giyu, with Awakening Stones and Shining Skill Enhancement Stones obtainable at higher milestones.
The Hashira Wish Summon lets players select either Giyu or Shinobu and pull using Rubies or Collaboration Summon Tickets. It shares a pity gauge with the previous Demon Slayer Corps Wish Summon, rewarding Awakening Stones, Shining Skill Enhancement Stones, and Exclusive Crystals of Harmony for the new heroes depending on total summons. The collaboration pity gauge does not carry over to other summons after the event ends, and remaining Summon Tickets will be converted to 100,000 Gold each.
Growth events for both heroes are also underway. By acquiring, enhancing, transcending heroes, and developing equipment, players can earn Collaboration Summon Tickets and growth materials, and unlocking Exclusive Equipment slots awards the respective hero's Nichirin Sword. The check-in event, growth missions, summon events, and hero growth events will all run until maintenance on October 29.
In the Demon Slayer Corps Supply Depot, items exchangeable with Wisteria Flower Coins have been added, including Kanao's Nichirin Sword, Star Crystals, High-Grade Eggs, and Pet Summon Tickets. Stock for existing items such as Awakening Stones, Crystals of Harmony, and Accessory Selection Boxes has also been increased. The Supply Depot will remain accessible until October 29 at 04:59 AM.
To celebrate the arrival of the new heroes, push notification rewards will sequentially grant 20 Hero Summon Tickets, 20 Pet Summon Tickets, Gold, and Key Boxes from October 15 to October 21. Players can claim these rewards by logging in between each distribution date and the maintenance on October 29. The 50 Collaboration Summon Tickets being distributed since October 13 to celebrate reaching 5 million global registrations can also be claimed during the same period.
