Publisher team17 has announced Little Prince Tyger, a dark fantasy action-roguelite from French studio Saltitude Games, for PC.
The game is due out in 2027, and an announcement trailer was released alongside the news. According to a release, players take control of a tiny hunter armed with a bow and arrow, sent by the Queen to find her missing son, Prince Galaad. The title is a nod to ‘The Tyger’, a poem by the English poet William Blake.
Roguelites are built around repeated attempts, known as runs, where failing sends players back to the start. Progress usually comes from learning each challenge and picking up upgrades along the way. Little Prince Tyger follows that structure, with team17 describing the journey as bloody and violent.

How Little Prince Tyger plays
The game spans more than 1,000 hand-crafted levels, each of which fits on a single screen. It uses a pixelated, low-resolution art style. According to the release, its combat is precise and physics-driven, with a fluid simulation system also part of the gameplay.
Each run offers perks that change how the game plays. Some adjust stats such as bleed damage, movement, and an arrow’s draw speed and weight. Others let players manipulate fluids, slow down time or pick up extra weapons, including javelins, boomerangs, throwing knives and traps.
Players will also meet a cast of characters through past memories. These include Sauterelle, a kamanaï warrior; Machiavelli, who keeps the kitchen garden and has a secret past; and Dagaubert, described as the king of the world. The release says each character is trying to find their own place in the game’s harsh setting.
