KRAFTON, Inc. announced on October 8 that it is conducting the first closed beta test (CBT) for PUBG: DED.NET (hereinafter DED.NET). The test will run for console players in North America from noon on October 9 to October 12, Central Time (CT).
Supported platforms are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. North American users aged 17 or older holding a PlayStation Network (PSN) or Xbox account are eligible to participate, with participants selected from among applicants on the official website. Selected players can invite friends to form a squad and play together.
This test marks the first opportunity for players to experience DED.NET hands-on following its reveal at Gamescom 2026. KRAFTON plans to evaluate gameplay and technical performance while verifying whether servers and matchmaking operate stably under high-concurrency conditions.
Developed by PUBG STUDIOS, DED.NET is a console-focused multiplayer first-person shooter (FPS) game. It reinterprets the survival and competitive experience accumulated from PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS (hereinafter BATTLEGROUNDS) into fresh gameplay, combining gunplay with a roguelite progression system.
The game is set in 1996 in 'Cascadia,' a region inspired by the Pacific Northwest of the United States. Players grow their characters through a single 'run' spanning multiple matches, adapting their strategies to changing situations to ensure survival.
The development team plans to gather participant feedback via in-game surveys and the official DED.NET Discord channel to incorporate into future development. KRAFTON plans to expand the test regions starting with North America, and detailed information about the test is available on the official DED.NET website.
