Dell Technologies unveiled the Dell XPS 16 Creator Edition on the 8th. It is the first XPS laptop equipped with the NVIDIA RTX Spark superchip, and is scheduled to launch in South Korea on the 16th.
The superchip featured in the product combines NVIDIA AI, RTX graphics, and Unified Memory onto a single piece of silicon. Key specifications include up to a 6,144-core Blackwell RTX GPU, up to a 20-core Grace CPU, and up to 128GB of Unified Memory. Dell explained that this configuration supports 3D rendering, 8K multi-layer video editing, and running large-scale AI models.
The deployment environment provided by Dell in collaboration with NVIDIA and Microsoft covers 4K and 8K content creation, AAA gaming, and local AI model development. Featuring the full NVIDIA CUDA stack built-in, users can locally execute model prototyping, fine-tuning, and inference on the same architecture as actual production AI environments. For on-device tools, Dell highlighted support for GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ComfyUI, and Cursor.
The software environment is based on Windows. It can run Blender, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Photoshop, and Premiere, while leveraging Windows' Prism Emulation technology for specialized engineering software such as MATLAB. For gaming, it supports real-time Ray Tracing, the AI-driven graphics enhancement technology DLSS, and NVIDIA Reflex. It also features compatibility with Easy Anti-Cheat, BattlEye, and the Xbox PC app.
The screen features a 3.2K Tandem OLED display. It supports 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and undergoes factory calibration to meet Pantone Validation and Delta E
The exterior features XPS's CNC-machined aluminum chassis and glass touchpad. It measures approximately 17.8mm thick and incorporates 8mm heat pipes for cooling. Dell stated that it designed the system using its largest and thinnest fans to date to exhaust heat generated during high-performance workloads.
For connectivity, it provides three USB4 Type-C ports supporting up to 40Gbps data transfer and Power Delivery. It also includes a full-size SDXC v7.1 card reader for transferring camera files and an HDMI 2.1b port for video and audio output. All Type-C ports feature a patented lock slot compatible with Kensington locks, and the laptop is equipped with a Universal Audio Jack.
Sangmo Yoo, President of Dell Technologies Korea, said, "AI is now evolving beyond a technology used solely in the cloud into one that can be run and utilized directly on personal PCs."
