Shibuya's creator hub 404 Not Found will hold the game talk events "Yoshi-P Radio" and "Yoshi-P Night" on October 24. Hosted by Shuhei Yoshida and Masahiko Murakami, indie game developer Takahiro Miyazawa and LEVEL-5's Akihiro Hino will participate as guests to share their unique game development approaches and experiences in creating new IPs.
The event will take place on October 24 from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM at 404 Not Found. Yoshi-P Radio will run from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by Yoshi-P Night from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a networking session between the speakers and attendees scheduled from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Attendance is capped at approximately 60 people and operates on a pre-registration basis. Admission is free, but attendees must purchase a drink at 404 Cafe.
In the first segment, Yoshi-P Radio, Takahiro Miyazawa will discuss his journey as a solo developer and present game development ideas utilizing custom controllers. Miyazawa has been developing indie games independently for over 20 years, creating titles that use everyday objects and proprietary controllers—such as "Give me toilet paper!", which is played by rolling toilet paper. In 2026, he won the Audience Award Grand Prix, the top prize at Sense of Wonder Night 2026 (SENSE OF WONDER NIGHT 2026), with "Face UFO".
In the following Yoshi-P Night segment, Akihiro Hino will take the stage. He plans to reflect on his creative work centered around major titles like Dark Cloud, Inazuma Eleven, Little Battlers eXperience, Yo-kai Watch, and Megaton Musashi, sharing the trial and error involved in building new IPs and how the company overcame difficult times through new IP development. Depending on the schedule, the session will also cover indie game-related topics and introduce Professor Layton and the New World of Steam ahead of its December release.
Akihiro Hino founded LEVEL-5 in 1998 and has served as original concept creator, scenario writer, and producer for titles including the Professor Layton series, Inazuma Eleven, Yo-kai Watch, Fantasy Life, Megaton Musashi, and Ni no Kuni. Notably, the Professor Layton series has reached cumulative sales of over 20 million copies. He has also produced numerous cross-media works that expand games into anime, movies, manga, and toys.
The event is targeted not only at game creators, publishers, and industry professionals, but also at students and young creators aiming to build games. Host Shuhei Yoshida has long been involved in supporting indie games and creators, while co-host Masahiko Murakami is involved in operating the indie game event BitSummit and managing 404 Not Found.
