H2 Interactive announced that it officially released the physical Korean PS5 edition of STAR WARS: Galactic Racer, an action racing game developed by Fuse Games and published by Secret Mode, on October 6. Physical distribution is handled by PLAION.
STAR WARS: Galactic Racer is an action racing game set in the Star Wars universe where players drive a variety of vehicles to compete on circuits across the galaxy. Players enter the unsanctioned racing circuit, the "Galactic League," relying not only on speed but also on split-second judgment and tactics to overpower rival vehicles.
The game is set after the fall of the Empire. As the New Republic's reconstruction moves slowly, underground syndicates focused on gambling and entertainment expand their influence in the Outer Rim. Sponsored by these syndicates, pilots compete in the Galactic League for prize money and glory.
Players control Shade, a racer driven by revenge. Guided by driving skill and strategy, Shade takes on the Galactic League, continuing a personal journey shaped by decisions and choices made during races.
Races combine high-speed sprints to the finish line with vehicle collisions. Players can gain the upper hand by directly ramming or shunting rival vehicles, while taking higher risks yields greater rewards.
Driveable vehicles include landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders, and podracers. Each vehicle features distinct handling characteristics and physics, allowing players to customize performance and appearance to tailor vehicles to their playstyle.
In the single-player campaign, players experience Shade's pursuit of the Galactic League and changing alliances with surrounding characters. Race results and player decisions affect the journey ahead.
Online PvP supports up to 12 players simultaneously. Utilizing driving skills and vehicle setups honed in the campaign, players can compete against others to raise their rank and reputation while earning various rewards.
