The Busan Indie Connect Festival Organizing Committee and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) are accepting applications until October 14 for Steam Indie Connect, an event bringing together Korean indie game industry professionals and Valve's HQ Steam team. The event will take place on October 27 at Ground B Cafe near Gangnam Station in Seoul.
The event is designed to give Korean indie developers and small-scale publishers preparing to expand into overseas markets the opportunity to communicate directly with Valve representatives and receive feedback on distribution and marketing. Alongside the offline event, a live online stream will also be provided for pre-selected participants.
The program features a Steam Update session covering Steam's global and Korean market performance and launch guides, a Q&A session addressing pre-submitted and live on-site questions, and a networking and happy hour session with three members of Valve's HQ Steam team.
Real-time simultaneous interpretation and Korean-translated slides will be provided for all sessions. During the networking hour, a dedicated interpreter will be assigned to each of the three Steam team members, enabling participating developers and publishers to receive 1-on-1 feedback on launch strategy, marketing, localization, and operational know-how.
The event is aimed at industry professionals, including indie game developers and small publishers. Only pre-registered attendees whose participation has been confirmed will be admitted, with no on-site registration available. Prospective participants must submit their application by 11:59 PM on October 14.
