Neon Giant, a studio under KRAFTON, Inc., has opened pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of action shooter RPG The Ascent: Ultimate Edition. This digital-only release will officially launch on December 3.
The Ascent is set in 'Veles,' a cyberpunk world ruled by a megacorporation. Supporting single-player and up to four-player co-op, the game has been played by over 12 million players worldwide since its release in 2021.
The Ultimate Edition includes the base game along with major DLCs, such as the story expansion 'Cyber Heist,' the 'CyberSec Pack,' and the 'Cyber Warrior Pack.' Players can customize their combat style by combining various weapons and cyberware.
A new trailer released alongside the start of pre-orders showcases combat taking place across the streets and industrial facilities of Veles. It features explosive and energy attacks utilizing weapons, equipment, and cyberware, highlighting both solo combat and co-op play with allies.
Neon Giant will apply a legacy patch to existing platforms on November 19. The patch includes localization quality improvements and HDR support, alongside fixes for key issues in saving, progression, and co-op teleportation and encounter systems. These improvements will also be reflected in the Nintendo Switch 2 version.
