'Titanfall 2', released in 2016, has suddenly become a hot topic—not because of a sequel or a remaster, but thanks to a user-created mod.
YouTuber and solo modder CircuitLord revealed a VR mod for 'Titanfall 2' on his channel. Anyone with the game and a VR headset can now play Titanfall 2 like a native VR title. Despite being developed by a single person, it supports 6DoF (360-degree field of view) and allows players to use VR controllers for weapon handling and manual reloading, just like commercial VR games.
Aside from cutscenes playing in 2D due to mod limitations, every in-game element has been implemented for the VR environment. Looking around, interacting with BT, engaging in combat, and exploring maps feel seamless. In particular, being able to touch and board BT in person—whom players previously only experienced on a monitor—has drawn positive responses from long-time Titanfall fans.
Meanwhile, Titanfall 2, currently drawing attention for its VR mod, is a mecha sci-fi shooter developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by EA that follows the journey of Jack Cooper and BT. Timed with the 2026 Autumn Sale, it is available for 4,950 won on EA, Steam, and other platforms.
