Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Content Agency (GCA) will host the final stage of the 21st Gyeonggi Game Audition in 2026 at the Pangyo Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation on October 15, following a total of 404 submissions. Thirteen games that passed document screening and the initial audition stage will present and demonstrate their titles on stage.
This year's submissions totaled 404 games, with 344 in the General Category and 60 in the Student Category. GCA reported that this marked the highest competition rate in the event's history. The final lineup consists of 10 titles in the General Category and three in the Student Category.
The General Category features Soulers by Drabit Studio, Where is the Red Ball? by Studio Peppermill, Mystical Demon Farm by Zarikki Studio, Rule the Dungeon by Foret Noire Games Inc., and Animal Frontiers by Infinity Mind. Cold Cases by Banjiha Games, In the Van by Cosmic Tofu, NAMMO by Guild Studio, Irony by Xylophone Inc., and Project Revenant by Mayfly have also advanced to the final stage.
In the Student Category, IGNOTUS by Nerophone, UpBRELLA by ABLU, and War In The Dark by Sprout Studio were selected. The final standings will be determined by a panel of gaming experts and an audience evaluation panel judging the presentations and demos of the 13 games. Recruitment for the audience panel, which allows gamers to test and review unreleased titles, is open until October 8.
Alongside the final auditions, an investment demo day and a public-private-academic Focus Group Test (FGT, game testing support program) will be held. During the investment demo day, all 13 companies will pitch to venture capitalists and publishers, with standout developers receiving follow-up support such as investment meetings and opportunities to participate in game shows.
A total of 120 testers will take part in the public-private-academic collaborative FGT to evaluate upcoming titles from 20 companies. The test will examine UI/UX usability and the overall completion of core gameplay mechanics.
GCA President Tak Yong-seok said, “This year's Gyeonggi Game Audition recorded the highest competition rate in its history, demonstrating the strong interest of domestic game developers.” He added, “We encourage enthusiastic participation in the audience evaluation panel, where gamers can directly experience and evaluate the 13 games on the final stage.”
