Dimenshot, a melee-focused FPS developed by student indie team Flexberg Games, is set to launch in Early Access on PC via Steam this October. To date, over 16,000 players worldwide have played the demo, Steam wishlists have surpassed 21,000, and the positive review rating stands at 95%.
Dimenshot combines the combat mechanics of retro boomer shooters with fast-paced arcade FPS gameplay. Placing ranged weapons in a supporting role, the game focuses on aggressive melee combat while maintaining high speed and mobility through parkour movement.
In combat, players can seamlessly link combos between different melee weapons. The game also allows players to instantly pull gear dropped by defeated enemies and weave it directly into an active combo. Each melee weapon type features three distinct variants that alter combat flow and damage delivery.
The game features seven distinct worlds themed around the Seven Deadly Sins. Visual styles, lighting, and enemy designs change as players progress through stages, while wave-based combat set in tight arenas demands constant movement and tactical weapon management.
