Com2uS Platform introduced Hive Axyl, its next-generation backend platform, at an AI game development event held in Tokyo, Japan. Set to officially launch on September 30, Hive Axyl supports everything from game backend configuration and feature integration to live operations.
Com2uS Platform, a subsidiary of Com2uS Holdings, unveiled Hive Axyl on September 28 at the finals of "Tokyo AI (TAI) | OpenAI : 100-Hour Game Builder Challenge." The event was held as an AI game development challenge hosted by Tokyo AI (TAI) and supported by OpenAI.
Participating teams were challenged to develop AI-native games and AI tools for game creation over 100 hours using OpenAI's Codex.
In his presentation at the finals, Jinyong Kim, CEO of Com2uS Japan, presented the vision "Build with Codex, Play with Hive." Kim also shared the experience of hosting OpenAI Game Builders Seoul, which was held jointly by Com2uS and OpenAI in Seoul in August. Industry figures from the South Korean and Japanese IT sectors, including Crit Ventures and LY Corporation, attended the event.
Describing Hive Axyl, Kim said, "It provides an environment where developers can be freed from complex backend tasks and immerse themselves in content creation." He added that he hopes Hive Axyl will prove helpful in the release process of the games developed at the event.
Tailored for AI game development, Hive Axyl supports Codex plugin integration. Issuing commands via natural language prompts allows for rapid integration of key features, including backend configuration, authentication, payments, data analytics, and live operations. Following the official launch, developers can install and use the plugin according to the guide on the developer portal.
