GXG 2026, a gaming culture festival held in Pangyo, kicked off on September 11. GXG 2026 takes place over two days, September 11 and 12, around Pangyo Station Plaza and Tech1 Tower.
On today’s opening day, the opening ceremony began at 6:00 PM, followed by an opening performance by Dynamic Duo. With the stage set up right in front of Exit 1 of Pangyo Station, many office workers heading home on Friday evening paused to watch the show. The stage then hosted the finals of the GXG Sound Track, a competition showcasing music and performances inspired by games. Once again, numerous high-caliber performances captivated the crowd and drew enthusiastic cheers from on-site visitors.
Visitors can also enjoy a variety of exhibitions and hands-on programs. The North Plaza of Pangyo Station features interactive zones such as a Costume Experience Zone, Play Lounge, Brand Experience Zone, Campus Arcade, and Cool Station. Here, attendees can play console games and board games, try on costumes, or get face painting done. It is also a great place to take a break.
Near the stage, a costume exhibition features outfits, weapons, and props from Lost Ark characters. On the second floor of Tech1 Tower, visitors can check out original songs and the games that inspired them from past GXG Sound Track finals. Meanwhile, a gaming industry social contribution exhibition is held in the Central Plaza.
Various collaborative events are also taking place alongside the festival. On the first floor of Tech1 Tower, the 2026 Indiecraft exhibition allows visitors to play a wide variety of indie games. On the first floor of the Neowiz building, graduation works by students from Gyeonggi Game Meister High School are on display. In the North Plaza, Illustar Fest offers a fan creation market road and stage programs.
On Saturday, the second day of the event, hands-on activities and exhibitions will continue as usual. Collaborative events will feature slight variations, while special stage programs take place, including the Illustar Fest Stage, the AI GSDC Awards, and the GXG Gala Concert.
