SEGA Publishing Korea released the first installment in a system overview video series for its upcoming action RPG Stupid Never Dies ahead of its October 22, 2026 release, and announced details regarding its participation in Tokyo Game Show 2026 (TGS 2026).
The newly released video is "DEEP BITE #1 - Action," marking the beginning of "DEEP BITE," a commentary video series where the development team explains the game's key features. Director Eiichiro Sasaki appears in person to highlight the game's distinct combat mechanics, where players sustain continuous attacks to steal enemy abilities. In the game, protagonist Davy explores dungeons using "Body Hack"—transplanting equipment into his own body to resurrect the heroine, Julia, who froze to death—and "Style Eat," which overpowers enemies to absorb their powers. In particular, through the "Style Eat" system that grants abilities by devouring the cores of formidable foes, players can swap between a total of 11 different styles in real time—including "Werewolf," "Harpy," "Golem," and "Zombie Style"—to engage in dynamic combat.
The combat system features "Funky Zombie Action," which emphasizes continuous offense. The basic maneuver, "Bite," deals damage to enemies while restoring health and absorbing abilities from certain foes. "Stupid Parry," which counters enemy attacks with a forward charge, incurs "Recovery Damage" that players can heal by quickly triggering "Bite" before the damage is finalized. In addition, the game features a ultimate move called "Davy Burst," which boosts the character's abilities alongside flashy "Disco Style" visual effects to deliver even more exhilarating action.
Meanwhile, SEGA confirmed its participation in Tokyo Game Show 2026 (TGS 2026), held at Makuhari Messe from September 17 to September 21, 2026, where it will host various on-site events. On September 17 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM, the "Stupid Never Dies First Bite Stage with Yuki Kaji" will take place on the SEGA/ATLUS booth stage. The event will feature voice actor Yuki Kaji alongside developer GPTRACK50 Inc.'s producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, director Eiichiro Sasaki, and MC Mika Nonomiya, and will be livestreamed on SEGA's official YouTube channel. Inside the booth, the "SEGA PARTNERS IMMERSIVE THEATER" will screen a special trailer across five large immersive LED monitors, while live gameplay demonstrations by the director will run on September 20 and September 21 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM. On-site visitors will also receive an original large fan on a first-come, first-served basis.
Stupid Never Dies will launch on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam).
