Dplus KIA defeated kt Rolster 3-1 to advance to the next round, securing the final ticket to the World Championship in the process. Dplus KIA will now face T1 in Round 3 of the Lower Bracket.

In Game 4, kt Rolster secured First Blood by catching Choi "Lucid" Yong-hyeok's Vi on a counter-jungle invade. However, Dplus KIA clearly held the advantage in pure laning matchups, steadily widening the gap by leading in CS. The bot lane went a step further, collapsing the lane balance by picking up a double kill off a Vi gank.

Dplus KIA took down Lee "PerfecT" Seung-min's Gwen with a top tower dive led by Heo "ShowMaker" Su's Annie, but kt Rolster responded quickly with mid-jungle support to finish off Annie. A teamfight around the Dragon also resulted in a 2-2 kill trade. For the trailing kt Rolster, these continuous trades were a positive sign.

However, the real issue was Dplus KIA's bot duo. In a top lane skirmish, they scored one-sided kills through a fantastic combo, with Sin "Smash" Geum-jae's Miss Fortune dropping Bullet Time directly on top of Oh "Career" Hyeong-seok's Neeko casting Pop Blossom. Before long, the global gold lead stretched beyond 7,000. kt Rolster's desperate sneaky Baron attempt was also spotted by a Rift Scuttler and came to nothing.

kt Rolster bought some breathing room by collapsing on Dplus KIA as they were pressuring top, sweeping up 4 kills. Nevertheless, Dplus KIA still held a massive lead in growth, and in a structured teamfight in front of the Dragon pit, they claimed a dominant victory without surprise and took Baron.

Armed with the Baron buff, Dplus KIA resumed pressuring all lanes. The inhibitor towers, which had been steadily chipped down, crumbled one by one, and both the mid and bot inhibitors were destroyed. Ultimately, Dplus KIA forced a fight in front of the final top inhibitor, scoring an Ace to put an end to the match.
