'Overwatch Day', an offline event for domestic Overwatch players, kicked off at BEXCO in Busan on August 22 at 11:00 AM. Over two days, a wide range of stage programs and hands-on on-site events will take place, including dev team talks, creator matches, a cosplay contest, voice actor fan meetups, and programs related to Team South Korea for the OWWC.

Nexon is hosting the Overwatch player event 'Overwatch Day' from August 22 to 23 in Hall 1 of Exhibition Center 1 at BEXCO in Haeundae District, Busan. The event runs offline daily from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is free for anyone to attend. No official online live stream is provided.

'Overwatch Day' is a fan festival designed for Overwatch players to meet the game's development team, art team, content creators, and voice actors in person while enjoying various stage programs and interactive content.

The venue is modeled after key locations from the Overwatch Busan map, including the MEKA Base, Sanctuary, Downtown Busan, and the Busan Station Tower. Visitors take on the role of MEKA squad heroes to complete missions such as shooting, maintenance, and search ops, and can exchange stamps earned through participating in programs for merchandise.

On the first day of the event, August 22, proceedings begin with a 'Hero Welcome Ceremony' and opening remarks, followed by 'Dev TALK' and 'Art Team TALK', which detail the production process for Season 4 and the vision moving forward. In the afternoon, a 'Creator Match', 'Cosplay Contest', and 'Lucky Draw' featuring creators follow. For the talks on this day, Walter Kong, Senior Vice President & Head of Development for Live Games/Mobile; Ben Bell, Senior Vice President & Executive Producer of Overwatch; and Game Director Aaron Keller take the stage. For the Creator Match, 'Runner' and 'ryujehong' face off once again as team captains.

On August 23, the lineup includes a 'Dev TALK' focusing on the Korean market and esports, an 'Art Team Live Drawing Show', a live viewing of the 'OWWC South Korea Team Match', and a 'Voice Actor Fan Meetup'. At the conclusion of the event, Blizzard will make an esports-related announcement alongside a send-off ceremony for the OWWC South Korea team.

In addition to the main stage lineup, the venue operates seven hands-on interactive programs for attendees to participate in directly. Autograph sessions and guerrilla events featuring developers, art leads, voice actors, and OWWC national team players will also be held, alongside dedicated MD and F&B zones.

The event also draws attention as it aligns with Overwatch's new season launch and expanded domestic service in South Korea. Overwatch began domestic PC service through Nexon on August 12, introducing Season 4: 'Heroes of Busan' on the same day. Additionally, 'D.Mon', a new Tank hero from the Busan-protecting MEKA squad, has joined the roster.

Furthermore, the OWWC 2026 Group Stage is currently underway in Busan. Scheduled from August 20 to 23, the matches link up with the second day of 'Overwatch Day', which features a broadcast of Team South Korea's match and the national team's send-off ceremony.
