'Overwatch Day,' an offline event for domestic Overwatch players, kicked off at 11:00 AM on August 22 at BEXCO in Busan. A variety of stage programs and hands-on activities—including developer talks, creator matches, a cosplay contest, voice actor fan meetings, and programs related to the South Korean OWWC team—will run for two days.

Nexon is hosting the Overwatch player event 'Overwatch Day' for two days from August 22 to 23 in Hall 1 of Exhibition Center 1 at BEXCO in Haeundae District, Busan. The event runs offline from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily, and admission is free to anyone. No official online live stream will be provided.

'Overwatch Day' is a fan event organized to allow Overwatch players to meet the game's development team, art team, content creators, and voice actors in person while enjoying a variety of stage programs and hands-on content.

The venue was designed around key locations from Overwatch's Busan map, including the MEKA Base, Sanctuary, Downtown Busan, and Busan Station Tower. Visitors can step into the role of a MEKA unit hero to complete missions such as target practice, maintenance, and reconnaissance, and exchange stamps earned from participating in programs for merchandise.

On August 22, the first day of the event, activities kick off with a 'Hero Welcoming Ceremony' and opening remarks, followed by 'Developer TALK' and 'Art Team TALK,' which introduce the production process of Season 4 and the future vision for the game. In the afternoon, a 'Creator Match' featuring content creators, a 'Cosplay Contest,' and a 'Lucky Draw' will take place. Taking the stage for the talk sessions on this day are Walter Kong, Senior Vice President and Head of Development for Live Games/Mobile; Ben Bell, Executive Producer and Senior Vice President of Overwatch; and Aaron Keller, Game Director. For the Creator Match, 'Runner' and 'ryujehong' will face off once again as team captains.

On August 23, programs will feature a 'Developer TALK' focused on the Korean market and esports, an 'Art Team Live Drawing Show,' a broadcast of the South Korean OWWC team's match, and a voice actor fan meeting. At the conclusion of the event, Blizzard will make an esports-related announcement alongside a launch ceremony for the South Korean OWWC team.

In addition to the main stage programs, the venue hosts seven hands-on experience programs for visitors to participate in directly. Autograph sessions and guerrilla events featuring the development team, art leads, voice actors, and OWWC national team players are also organized, alongside dedicated MD and F&B zones.

The event also draws attention for aligning with Overwatch's new season and the expansion of its domestic service. Overwatch launched its domestic PC service via Nexon on August 12, concurrently releasing Season 4, 'Heroes of Busan.' Additionally, 'D.Mon,' a new Tank hero from the MEKA unit protecting Busan, joined the roster.

Furthermore, the OWWC 2026 Group Stage is currently taking place in Busan. Scheduled from August 20 to 23, the matches coincide with the second day of 'Overwatch Day,' which will feature the South Korean team's match broadcast connected with the national team launch ceremony.
