On August 19, HANJIN BRION defeated DN SUPERS 2-0 in the 2026 LoL Champions Korea (LCK) Regular Season Round 4 Rise Group match held at the Chzzk LoL Park in Jongno. BRION seized control from Game 1 with meticulous objective control, and in Game 2, secured a sweeping victory with a 10,000 gold lead driven by an all-around performance from 'Gideon' Kim Min-seong.
Below is the full transcript of the press conference with Head Coach Kim Sang-soo and 'Namgung' Namgung Seong-hun.

Q. You won 2-0 today. How do you feel about the victory?
Head Coach Kim Sang-soo: I'm really happy that we won 2-0 today, and it feels great to see so many aspects of our team improving.
'Namgung': DN SUPERS looked like they've been in pretty good form lately, so it feels great to win against them.
Q. DN SUPERS recently had strong momentum. How did you prepare for the match?
Head Coach Kim Sang-soo: I felt that DN SUPERS have been playing really well lately. Above all, they excel at crafting structured team compositions and execution. We prepared by taking away or banning those key elements as much as possible, forcing them into unfavorable situations. I'm satisfied because that strategy seemed to work well today.
Q. It appeared that you fully leveraged 'Gideon's experience to completely shut down the opponent's jungler, 'Chavel'.
Head Coach Kim Sang-soo: While DN SUPERS play well as a team, we judged that their dynamic plays and proactivity stem from 'Chavel'. Therefore, we thought it would be best to give our side a more favorable jungle matchup or enable us to invest more strength into the jungle-mid lane synergy.
Q. With today's win, you became the first team in the Rise Group to reach 10 wins. Your chances of securing a direct spot in Round 1 of the Play-Ins have increased—how do you see your chances right now?
Head Coach Kim Sang-soo: For now, I think it's important to win our final remaining match to lock in 1st place in the Rise Group, and then build on that momentum to keep winning the matches ahead.
Q. Does that mean you are preparing not only for the final regular season match, but also for the Play-Ins in advance?
Head Coach Kim Sang-soo: Yes. Honestly, our team was quite confused recently. We struggled a lot last week, so we completely overhauled our champion tier list and re-prepared according to the current flow and meta. Fortunately, that preparation paid off, leading to today's victory. I believe that just as we've done so far, we need to prepare thoroughly to handle the upcoming Play-Ins and Playoffs schedule, so we are preparing for both simultaneously.
Q. You are competing with BNK FearX for the top spot, but looking at HANJIN BRION's recent performance and the winning streak early in Round 2, the team seems plenty competitive. If you make it through Round 1 of the Play-Ins, it feels like you'll be competitive in the Playoffs as well. What are your thoughts?
Head Coach Kim Sang-soo: Above all, I believe the most important thing is for our team to prepare solidly and in the right direction, creating an environment where we can execute that on stage. As long as our preparation is thorough, I believe we can defeat any opponent we face.
Q. On today's broadcast, HANJIN BRION was referred to as the 'King of the Rise Group'.
Head Coach Kim Sang-soo: We will win our next match as well and firmly establish ourselves as the 'King of Rise'.
Q. With the recent patch, traditional marksmen have become more favored, as many expected. This allows support players to focus more on their core duties. How do you feel about this change?
'Namgung': Personally, I didn't really like seeing non-marksman champions in the bot lane. Now that traditional marksman champions are back, it feels much better to play the game.
Q. The upcoming match against BNK FearX is crucial if you want to secure 1st place in the Rise Group on your own merits. What will be your main focus during preparation?
Head Coach Kim Sang-soo: I think every team has a certain direction set recently. We will prepare to adapt to BNK FearX's playstyle so that we can counter them while highlighting our own distinct team identity.
Q. In Game 2, when 'Gideon' stole the Scuttle Crab, the reaction was as massive as if he had stolen a major objective. Did you think that moment was that crucial?
Head Coach Kim Sang-soo: It was a Scuttle Crab we were unlikely to get, so stealing it was huge. Moreover, taking that Scuttle Crab allowed Pantheon to accelerate the game's tempo even faster while we already had clear priority in mid and bot lane, which was great.
Q. Lastly, do you have a word for the fans?
Head Coach Kim Sang-soo: Thank you so much to all the fans who always support us. We will make sure to win the final match and prepare thoroughly to deliver even better results.
'Namgung': Thank you so much to the fans who always come to the venue to cheer for us, as well as those supporting us online. We will do our best in the final match.
