On the 25th, Nexon updated its FPS game 'Counter-Strike Online' (CSO) with Season 26, 'Journey to the West.'

This update features a complete overhaul of the in-game Season Pass reward system. Players will now receive a new resource, 'Z-Coin,' as a reward for reaching season grades, which can be used in the newly opened 'Season Pass Shop' to exchange for items of their choice. The Season Pass Shop will remain open throughout the season, offering items categorized into three sections: Special Items, Common Items, and items from previous seasons. As part of the new 'Journey to the West' season, special skin weapons and costumes themed around 'Heavenly Soldier's Relics' will be released sequentially every two weeks in the Special Items category.

To improve user convenience, the Season Pass mission structure has been reorganized to focus on daily missions, replacing the previous split between daily and weekly events. Additionally, completing a special mission—triggered by earning 150 badges through daily missions—will grant a 'Daily Badge Expansion Ticket,' allowing players to earn extra badges beyond the daily limit. A new 'Unlimited Circular Reward' system has also been introduced, enabling players to repeatedly earn rewards after reaching level 100.

Additionally, a new season class, 'Black Pearl Kai,' has been unveiled. 'Black Pearl Kai' is a class that has forged Mythic armor using its own fighting spirit, rage, and emptiness as fuel, with a backstory centered on its quest to transcend humanity and reach the realm of gods. Along with this, a variety of 'Journey to the West'-themed items have been added, including the 'Red Cloud' paint scheme applicable to weapons such as the 'Desert Eagle 50C,' 'MK48,' and 'Double Barrel Shotgun,' as well as the new 'Red Eye Visor' costume, 'Black Iron Gourd Bottle,' 'Ink Dragon Spirit,' the 'Rampaging Heavenly Soldier' zombie skin, and season-exclusive sprays and medals.
