From May 8 to 10, the LCK Roadshow 'Kiwoom DRX Homefront' was held in Hanoi, Vietnam. The event demonstrated significant potential, with tickets selling out to reach a capacity of 12k.

This roadshow is highly significant as it marks the first of its kind held overseas. Vietnam is a region of great interest to the LCK and many of its teams. While this was the first official roadshow, numerous teams—including T1, Hanwha Life Esports, Kiwoom DRX, and OKSavingsBank BRION—have previously held fan meetings and various events in the country.
For this event, Kiwoom DRX invited Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports to provide high-level matches for Vietnamese fans. One local LCK fan who attended said, "I had only ever watched the LCK on a screen, so I never imagined I would be watching an LCK match in Hanoi. I am so happy to see an official LCK match live in person."
Kiwoom DRX features a Vietnamese player named 'Rascal'. Through him, the team holds symbolic significance in connecting with Vietnamese fans. In addition to the matches against Gen.G on the 8th and Hanwha Life Esports on the 10th, a fan festival was held on the 9th. The 'Legend of Dragons' concert featured K-pop group Tempest and Vietnamese artists JustaTee, Phương Ly, Bùi Công Nam, Han Sara, and Cong B, turning the venue into a true festival site.
Fans also had the opportunity to interact with players through meet-and-greets and autograph sessions, while the event featured additional attractions such as mini-games and a competition for young creators. The question of whether a roadshow can be successfully hosted abroad is not a challenge unique to KRX; it is likely a concern shared by many other teams.
Kiwoom DRX has effectively opened that door. The event went beyond simply providing a new experience and will undoubtedly serve as a positive precedent for other teams looking to pursue overseas roadshows in the future.
Kiwoom DRX CEO Yang Sun-il stated, "It is deeply moving to see scenes I had only imagined actually unfolding in the heart of Hanoi. The intense passion of the Vietnamese fans, which we felt firsthand, far exceeded our expectations.
This 'Kiwoom DRX Homefront' is the first step for Kiwoom DRX to connect more closely with our global fans. Building on this event, we plan to continuously expand our support for global networks and content to provide better value to our fans both at home and abroad who support us, including those in Vietnam.
