To celebrate its 2nd anniversary, Solo Leveling: Arise has launched a massive 'Awakening' update, introducing the 'Successor'—a being on par with Sung Jinwoo. Successors are individuals from parallel worlds who have inherited the power of Monarchs. This 2nd-anniversary update marks the debut of 'Miro,' the successor to the first Monarch, Baran.
Before diving into the details of Miro, let's briefly explain what a Successor is: like Baran, Yogumunt, or Rakpasa, they are Monarch-tier characters assigned to the 'Shadow Power' slot. The key difference is that in Sung Jinwoo mode, Successors can be 'tagged' in to replace the player on the battlefield as playable characters. While their time on the field is short, they are characterized by their powerful damage-dealing capabilities..

■ Successors: A Complete Guide from Recruitment to Growth Systems
Miro can be obtained through an event-exclusive pickup that is completely separate from existing standard or custom pickups. Inside the event page, you can check the 'Seal of Inheritance,' the ticket required for recruitment, in the top right corner. You can purchase 5 Seals of Inheritance per week at the Shop - Exchange - Association Honor Token Exchange using 'Association Honor Tokens,' a new currency earned by completing seasonal content..
Seasonal content is listed under 'Trial of the Strong' on the right side of the content menu, which includes the Battlefield of Time and the Library of the Watcher. These modes now provide a large amount of Association Honor Tokens; you don't need to worry, as clearing the Battlefield of Time within 2 minutes is more than enough to purchase your 5 weekly Seals.
If you want to acquire Seals faster, you can purchase packages in the special shop at the bottom left. You can buy recruitment packages twice with Mana Crystals and three times with Diamonds, and paid packages are also available. Additionally, you can earn 20 more Seals from the 2nd Anniversary Dice Exploration event.

The recruitment method is also different from existing pickups, using a bingo board format. Inside the event pickup page, you will see Miro at the top right and a 3x3 reward table below. Each pull costs 10 Seals of Inheritance and grants a random reward. Since the main reward, Miro, only appears from the 6th pull onwards, you must spend at least 60 Seals per round for a chance to obtain Miro.
Rewards already obtained are removed from the bingo board, and each reward has a different weight, meaning the probability of pulling them varies. Once an item is obtained, it is removed from the table, and the probabilities for the remaining items are recalculated based on their weights. Simply put, the better the reward, the lower the chance of pulling it.
If you obtain the main reward, Miro, between the 6th and 9th pull, the remaining rewards are given as a bonus. For example, if you obtain the main reward on your 6th pull after 5 attempts, the remaining 4 sub-rewards are provided together. Therefore, while you would normally need 30 pulls to clear all rewards in a round, you could finish in as few as 18 if you are lucky.

Note that unless additional events or ticket sources are added, completely free-to-play players cannot fully grow Miro at this time. To grow Miro, you must use the 'Inheritance' system, which requires 'Miro's Inheritance Data' and the 'Casket of Inheritance' found in the 2nd and 3rd round tables.
Since the event lasts for 12 weeks, if you use the exchange shop every week, you can get 60 Seals. Including 50 from Mana Crystals and Diamonds, and 20 from the 2nd Anniversary Dice Exploration, you can secure all 13 recruitment rounds available without separate packages.
If you are very lucky, you can obtain the main reward in 6 pulls for the 1st round and 6 for the 2nd, taking the remaining sub-rewards as bonuses, and finish by grabbing one more sub-reward from the 3rd table. In other words, to fully grow Miro by obtaining all rewards up to the 3rd round, you need to acquire between 50 and 90 Seals from paid packages.

Now, let's look at the 'Inheritance' system for growing Successors. To summarize the core: Successors are designed to be fully grown automatically if you complete the pickup recruitment. Instead of using separate resources or gold, you use the exclusive materials provided in the pickup recruitment window to handle evolution, weapons, armor, and skill growth all at once.
For this, you need the 'Casket of Inheritance' and 'Miro's Inheritance Data' found in the 2nd and 3rd recruitment tables. You can enter the Inheritance window by clicking the Baran icon to the left of Miro's stats in the Successor menu. Here, you can see five nodes: Miro's Sword, Miro's Horn, Miro's Armor, Crest of White Flames, and Halo of White Flames.
Inheritance Data is consumed to unlock these items, and the Casket of Inheritance is used to level them up. This increases the Successor's skill levels, unlocks additional abilities, and boosts stats, significantly increasing combat power.
Unlike standard Hunter evolution, you can choose which nodes to unlock, so you don't have to go through unwanted evolution effects to reach 5-star evolution. However, since data cannot be recovered once a node is unlocked, you should carefully consider which node to open first.
Note that if you complete the event recruitment, the system is designed so that you can finish unlocking and leveling up all inheritance nodes, so you don't need to calculate how many more pulls you need.

■ The First Successor and Powerful Wind-Attribute Dealer, Miro
If the previous sections were intended to help you understand the framework of the Successor recruitment and growth system, it is now time to learn about the 'Successor Miro' you have obtained.
Miro is a powerful wind-attribute dealer based on basic attacks. In Hunter mode, there is almost no difference from existing Monarch powers, so you only need to look at support skills. However, in Sung Jinwoo mode, Miro is a controllable character that tags in for a 30-second duration to unleash powerful firepower.
Contrary to the complex-looking tooltips, the basic operation cycle is very intuitive: Q - 5 Basic Attacks - E (Enter Aerial Mode) - QTE - 5 Basic Attacks..
Looking at the details, Miro has a passive that becomes stronger as time passes after appearing, and attack power increases as the amount of held Mana increases. Basic attacks are enhanced after using skills, allowing for Mana recovery, and Mana can also be recovered via 'Cadenza' (usable with the dash key), which has a 25% activation chance.
Additionally, when tagging in during Sung Jinwoo mode, if the target is in a Break or Overload state, a 6-second Break extension and 15-second Overload extension effect are triggered, simultaneously increasing critical hit rate and damage. In other words, it is crucial to tag Miro in when the target is in a Break or Overload state to maximize damage. As for the Ultimate, it is cast automatically when Miro exits, so you don't need to worry about it.

Inheritance has the advantage of allowing you to choose which nodes to unlock rather than following a fixed order, but there is no consensus yet on which node is best to unlock first.
Looking at the effects, 'Miro's Sword' is associated with the exclusive weapon; it increases the critical hit rate and damage bonus from 50/25% to 100/50% when successfully extending Break and Overload states. Leveling it up further increases attack power by up to 52,480, and defense and HP by up to 26240.
'Miro's Horn' is associated with artifacts; it allows Miro to enter the stage with 65% Mana recovered and enhances the passive 'Miro's Blue Miasma.' Defense penetration, damage dealt, and the 1-second attack power increase effect are each doubled. Leveling up increases critical hit rate by 20,000, damage by 25,000, and wind-attribute damage by 20%.
'Miro's Armor' corresponds to upgrades and enhances Miro's special skill, 'Cadenza.' It is automatically used upon extreme evasion or when hit while on the ground, dealing damage and helping with Mana recovery. The latter has a 30-second cooldown, but it resets after entering aerial mode, allowing it to be triggered multiple times during the 30-second appearance. Upgrading increases attack and defense by up to 15%.
'Crest of White Flames' corresponds to Skill Growth I. By default, using the QTE skill at the end of the damage cycle inflicts paralysis on the enemy and increases damage taken from Miro by 20% for 5 seconds. Leveling to the maximum increases the skill levels of basic attacks and the Ultimate by 9.
'Halo of White Flames' allows the basic attack combo to be maintained even if other actions are performed, making it easier to land the final hit. The Mana-proportional attack power increase effect also doubles from 5% to 10% per 10% Mana. Strengthening to the maximum level increases the skill levels of basic skills, entry skills, and QTE skills by 9.
Since all effects are important, much research is needed to determine the priority. Even if you prioritize main stats, the choices are quite ambiguous due to skill level requirements on other nodes, so if you don't have enough tickets to raise all inheritance levels, hold off on raising them for now. ©INVEN.
