NC CEO Kim Taek-jin met with new employees and emphasized that insight is essential for maintaining competitiveness in the AI era.

On April 23, NC held a 'Conversation with the CEO' at the NC Pangyo R&D Center in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. CEO Kim Taek-jin shared his thoughts with the 2026 cohort of new hires on topics such as competitiveness in the AI era, as well as the philosophy and direction of game development.

Kim stated that 'insight' is the most critical competency in the AI era. "As AI technology advances, human insight has become even more important," he said. "You can only be competitive in the AI era if you have the insight to grasp the essence and meaning of the work entrusted to you."

Regarding game development and creativity, he said, "The most ideal game is one that provides pure fun that is difficult to express in words. I hope you will create games that transcend logical explanations and limitations to deliver instinctive fun."

Kim encouraged the new hires, saying, "The new employees who sat in these seats ten years ago are now the core of this company. I hope you will lead NC to the next level even faster than they did."

NC has been running the 'Conversation with the CEO' onboarding program since it began open recruitment for new employees in 2006. The program is designed to share the company's corporate spirit and future strategies with new hires.
