Worlds 2023 Knockout Stage Brackets Locked In

The 2023 LoL World Championship's Swiss Stage concluded after two weeks of intense competition. Out of the 16 participating teams, 8 have earned their tickets to the Knockout Stage, while the remaining 8 teams packed their bags for home.

Gen.G and JD Gaming established their dominance early in the Swiss Stage, securing an undefeated record of 3-0, and advanced to the Knockout Stage early. Following them with a 2-1 record, LNG Esports, NRG, and T1 reached the Knockout Stage.

On the last day of the Swiss Stage, there were six teams that had to battle fiercely in a 2-2 tiebreaker situation: Dplus KIA vs. KT Rolster, Fnatic vs. Weibo Gaming, and G2 Esports vs. Bilibili Esports. The teams that emerged victorious in this day’s matchup were Bilibili Gaming, KT Rolster, and Weibo Gaming.

This sets the stage for an exciting Knockout Stage with a composition of 4 LPL teams, 3 LCK teams, and one LCS team. At Worlds 2022, it was 4 LCK teams, 3 LPL teams, and 1 LEC team. This year, no LEC teams were able to make it to the knockout stage. NRG is the first team to reach the Knockout Stage since Cloud9’s 2021 run.

The following are the matchups for the Knockout Stage.

Nov. 2: NRG vs. Weibo Gaming

Nov. 3: Gen.G vs. Bilibili Gaming

Nov. 4: JD Gaming vs. KT Rolster

Nov. 5: LNG Esports vs. T1

The Knockout Stage is scheduled to commence with the quarterfinals on Nov. 2, concluding on Nov. 5. The semifinals will take place in Busan on Nov. 11-12, leading up to the Grand Finals on Nov. 19 at Gocheok Skydome, where the 2023 LoL World Championship will reach its epic climax.
