G2's PerkZ is aiming for the top.

On May 10th (PDT) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; G2 Esports defeated Flash Wolves in the fourth match of Group Stage in Mid-Season Invitational 2017. After the match, Luka "PerkZ" Perković was interviewed on stage for his thoughts after the match.

Perkz started the interview by expressing how happy he was to win: "I'm just happy that we finally succeeded. All the hard work, preparation and boot camp before MSI paid off."

Comparing the match with their previous match against SKT, PerkZ explained why the composition mattered in both matches.

"We had a close game against SKT, but major mistakes allowed them to abuse them and their team composition was just better. This game, our late game composition was better. Although Flash Wolves had a great early game, they made some mistakes; our composition was less forgiving than theirs, so we won in the end."

Although the match was close, PerkZ was sure that they could take the match: "We just played to our winning condition, which was getting 5 core items for Caitlyn and allowing her to kill everyone. Even I played the role of a tank too. We knew we had the game in the bag."

When asked about the goal of G2 in MSI 2017, PerkZ had only one thing on his mind: "It's obviously winning the tournament. SKT will be very hard to defeat, but I'm sure we can do it. But first we'll focus game by game and try to get out of the group stage."

Despite the higher stakes, PerkZ was just being himself on the stage to keep his cool: "I just played like always and tried to be myself. I just played like I've been playing the whole split."

As the crowd grew wilder, the interview ended with a question about his foot injury and why it was nothing to worry about: "I just strained some ligament. I just have to rest for a week and then I'll be fine."
