For some League of Legends esports teams, the off-season is not over. However, all ten LEC teams have completed their rosters well before the start of the season, which begins on January 14. Let's take a look at the starting rosters for the ten teams who will be competing in the 2022 LEC Spring Split.

The LEC 2022 picture looks very different from the 2021 version, and in more ways than one. Every single roster has made changes, and Team BDS are the new team on the block after acquiring the franchise slot of FC Schalke 04 Esports following the conclusion of the 2021 LEC Season.

Eight players will be making their LEC debut in the 2022 Spring Split, and familiar faces are missing. Notable stars like Yasin "Nisqy" Dincer and Martin "Rekkles" Larsson are absent from starting positions in the LEC this season.

Three players who competed in the LCS in 2021 have returned to their home soil in Europe. Top laner Finn "Finn" Wiestål, who played for Counter Logic Gaming in 2021 after his first two career seasons in Europe with Rogue, has returned to Europe as the starting top laner for Excel Esports. Top laner Barney "Alphari" Morris and mid laner Luka "Perkz" Perković, who played for Team Liquid and Cloud9 last season, respectively, have both signed on with Team Vitality for the 2022 season.
