On Mar. 19, in the 2021 League of Legends Champions Korea Spring Split, Nongshim RedForce and T1 swept Afreeca Freecs and DRX, respectively. Nongshim RedForce placed themselves in 6th place with their 6th win of the season.

Nongshim RedForce had a good start in game 1 as Han “Peanut” Wang-ho’s Hecarim and Seo “Deokdam” Dae-gil’s Tristana had a great performance. They were able to take down the twin towers, but they overextended in attempt to end the game. This gave Afreeca Freecs some room to breathe, and they brought the global gold difference down to 5K. However, after Kim “MapSSI” Do-yeong’s Galio was cut off without being able to do anything, Nongshim RedForce took the game.

Afreeca Freecs had the lead in the early game in game 2. They extended their lead until the first Baron. It was Peanut to the rescue for Nongshim RedForce. Playing Graves, Peanut even solo killed Kim “Kiin” Gi-in’s Rumble. That started an avalanche from the Nongshim RedForce side that couldn’t be stopped. Through the win, Nongshim RedForce stepped up to 6th place.

The second match was between T1 and DRX. T1’s roster was the same as that of the last match against Gen.G. The two teams gave and took blows, trading kills until mid game. The biggest fight was in the river near Baron at the 33-minute mark. In this fight, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok’s Zoe was everywhere, taking down DRX champions. Through this fight, T1 secured the lead and did not let go of it.

In game 2, T1 blew the game open early. They collected benefits in all lanes. Kim “Canna” Chang-dong’s Renekton and Park “Teddy” Jin-seong’s Xayah had a stable game. It only took 14 minutes for T1 to make a 5K global gold difference. From that point, it was a slaughter-fest. T1 secured Baron at the 23-minute mark and ended the game in 26 minutes.
