SSG Ambition: "We've let them pick LeBlanc because we wanted to ban Graves instead."

On March 12th (KST), Samsung Galaxy defeated Longzhu Gaming 2-0 in the second matchup of Day 30 LCK Spring Split 2017, taking their eighth win of the season.

Although Chanyong "Ambition" Kang didn't play in an official match for a while, his play was decisive and powerful as ever.

Here is our interview with Chanyong "Ambition" Kang.

Congratulations on winning today's match! We've been missing you.

I haven't been able to play for the team in the LCK matches for a while, so I'm glad that I have won today's match.

I'm sorry to hear that you'll be losing a set score for Intentional Disconnection from Jaehyuk "Ruler" Park.

There's no use crying over spilt milk. We'll have to bear with it.

We haven't seen you in matches for about a month. You must have prepared a lot for today.

I was worried about what might happen if I were to lose today, but thankfully the game went well as it had been during practices.

Can you tell us why you decided to not ban LeBlanc in Game 2?

We wanted to ban Graves instead. Just as we have prepared during practices, we did not ban LeBlanc so that we could empower our jungler in the draft phase.

Minseung "Haru" Kang also has been doing pretty well. Is there like a synergy between you two?

I don't know if it's like a synergy, but Haru has been doing well lately, so I was able to spend more time on training - which led to today's victory.

You've mentioned how you don't like Gragas, then do you think there is another jungler that are waiting to be discovered?

Gragas does have a lot of potential, but I think it's more of being a familiar pick rather than a good pick. I don't think it will be possible to see Gragas in a match unless all the top-tier junglers are banned out. Even then, other lower-tier junglers such as Nocturne can be just as viable as Gragas.

Your next match will be against KT Rolster on 16th. How do you think it will go?

It won't be any different just because we'll be going up against KT Rolster. I always try my best to win.

Thank you for your time. Do you have anything else that you want to share?

I would like to thank my girlfriend, who is always cheering for me, and my close friends and family who have been looking out for me a lot. I've been recharging myself while I wasn't playing in matches, and although I'm not perfect yet, I want to say that I'm doing pretty great in scrims.
